Freshlife Spouts not so fresh

I purchased the Freshlife spouter last fall at the Raw Spirit fest in Arizona. I used a couple of times during the winter and had great success. However, I have tried it a few times this summer (its still summer here) and they seem to get sour smelling and the base of the spouts is slimey (ugh). I have tried the suggestions of putting food grade hydrogen peroxide in the water and I also tirede grapefruit seed extract. I change the water daily too. I am wondering if the warm temps in my house (85-86F) are contributing to their demize. :confused: Another batch went to the compose pile today.

Oh bummer! Is it the same seeds (I mean the same kind) as last fall? I would call the company or e-mail them. Is there a cooler room or basement where you could maybe sprout them?

What about the tops of the sprouts?
I know when I sprout the roots smell and are slimy but the sprout is fine so I just cut the roots off...
