I'm doing a party for my little sister and thought it would be cute to make animals out of fruits and vegetables. Know how they use olives as a nose and blueberries as eyes, ect.? I've seen them done, but can't remember what i could use for what. any ideas?

Some once typed up quite a list of things to do with food. I cannot locate it right now, but here is a sampling of ideas. (maybe not for building animals, though)

Use almond butter for glue.
Shredded coconut - snow on the ground
broccoli - trees
carrot tips - noses
halved grapes - noses or eyes
slivered almonds - ears
raisins - eyes, noses and mouthes
pates - you can mold a snow person!
cauliflower - trees
cabbage leaves - a boat

There were many more, but this is all I can think of, right now.

Cauliflower makes an excellent sheep or lamb
with egg plant as little black face, and black olive ears

Carrots as palm tree trunks with green pepper palm leaves.

apple makes excellent swans and turkeys, roosters etc.

pineapple makes good turtle shells

and you can carve anything out of a large jicama like a white unicorn
