Hey Everyone,
My sister recently completed a five day green juice feast. She is back to eating solids now but got her period a week earlier than usual. (She says she is usually very regular). And the cycle has lasted for two weeks. She used to be on birth control pills but recently stopped taking them. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Or know anything about why this is happening??? Thanks!!

It is most likely because of the pills, or lack off. Once you come off birth control your period tends to be very irregular for3-6 months after wards. It's just hormones balancing out again on their own.
That being said, fasting can also create some bleeding. I think of it as more of a detox than a period. Whenever I fast I get very light spotting for a good portion of the fast. It's the same principle as our digestive system, something is bound to be left behind, so when we fast, the body is able to focus of pushing everything out to clean the body, this includes menstruate blood.
I wouldn't be worried.

This is VERY INTERESTING!!! Mine was a whole WEEK LATE this month!!!! I didn't notice until I calculated yesterday!!! I always put a little RED DOT on my calender, so I've been regular since I've been keeping track. This was the 1st month I've been late since I was pregnant with my kids!!! So, yea...I was freaking out yesterday on the phone with RAWSugarGal!!! But, then it came and I breathed a sigh of relief!!! :)
I'm wondering if it was because of the change in season? Or, maybe since I've been RAW my body is just adjusting to the increase of nutritional food? HUMMMM...let me know what you find out.... :)
