Let me first say that this is going to not be a pleasant post. As we were walking up to bed tonight, my daughter (6yrs old) was telling me that she just burped and it smelled liked rotton eggs and tasted bad too! She felt fine and did have a belly ache and when I asked if she had diarrhea she said that she may have had some today. Today is Wednesday and last thursday she and he brother woke up vomiting. Her brother vomitted every half hour or so until noon-timeish and was very tired!! My daugher continued vomiting off and on all through the day and until the next morning(which was friday). She couldn't keep anything down not even when she sucked on ice chips in very small quantities. She was "starving and very thirsty". I called the doctor on friday mid morning and took her in for fear of dehydration. No fever, or aches or pains other than in her stomach or diarrhea. He gave her a pill ( the name is Ondansetron (ODT) 4 mg for nausea so that she could eat and drink. Now I am wondering if the pill is doing this to her. She took a total of three. For a few days after the vomiting stopped she complained of throwing up in her mouth.

Then about 12 am on Monday my other daughter came down with the exact same thing, but it only lasted until late afternoon. The other two don't have the rotten egg smelling burps. And let me tell you they are bad. All three complained about being very tired and my last daughter who was sick on monday took a nap today because she was very tired. She took a 2 hr nap and woke up about 4:30 pm and then went to bed at 8:30 pm (this coming from a girl that doesn't go to sleep until 9-10ish regardless what time she is in bed.

I googled this which was probably a mistake and found that the doctors don't know what this is....however one post did say that it was a symptom of giardia but not one that is talked about but a commom symptom. I'm not sure if it is giardia-but there are no other symptoms that I can pinpoint exactly. My daughter is 6 and is difficult to get a straight answer.
Anyone have any idea what this could be and how do I go about getting rid of it. Rotten Egg smell to me tells me that something is wrong in her gut. I don't know if a cleanse is good for a young one.
Any advice or experience would be most appreciated.
As far as I know this has only happened 3-4 times today and never before. I am going to ask her more questions when she gets up tomorrow morning.

Yes, it is definitely some kind of digestive "thing" going on. I feel if you give her water and lemon and maybe some ginger to soothe the belly she will be fine. Maybe getting her system back to an alkaline state using the lemon water would be good. Sounds like something was running rampant through the house besides you cleaning it all up!
