I bought some spirulina from an Austrailian company. I thought I was getting two different size bottles of tablets, but one of them (the large one:eek:) was powdered. Since it is in Austrailia and the cost of international shipping, I don't want to try to return it. Also, I actually like the taste, so I am not opposed to using it in recipes etc. So far, I've been sprinkling it on my food and adding it to smoothies.
Does anyone have any recipes that use spirulina?

I use to add it to my lemon water with chlorella in the mornings and thats it.
I've had spirulina and goji berry cookies before that were really good.

Any chocolate cake, brownie, cookie, you could add that and make a superfood treat!

This Smoothie is AMAZING my hubby and children love it and it stays with you until lunch NO PROBLEM.
Superfood Smoothie
6 soaked dates (I use the little ones, if you use madjool use 3)
1/2 oz (sm. handful) walnuts soaked
In 1 1/2 c. water (I soak overnight, for breakfast)
1 TB raw honey (or sweetener of your choice)
1 Rounded TB cacao
1 tsp maca
1/2 tsp foti
1 tsp lucuma
1 tsp spirulina
1 TB chia seeds
2 c. ice
Blend all ingredients except ice until smooth, add ice and blend until shake like consistency. Mmmm. This is my take of Best Ever Coffee floating around this site.
Blessings,
Heather

Well, since I started this thread, I had my lunch. I stirred some of the spirulina into some "almost tuna". Well the taste was wonderful. The spirulina goes very well with kelp. The problem is, well, the color. I couldn't look at it while I was eating it because it looked like something you would step in in a barnyard:eek:.
I have to laugh at my sillyness.
Thanks to everyone who has relied so far.
