This is the best nut dip EVER!!!!! All my non-raw fooders LOVE it!
(I don't measure I just add)
pecans
pine nuts
a few cashews
a few brazil nuts
walnuts
red pepper (half)
olive oil
water
lemon juice
cayenne pepper
salt
blend in a food processor---make creamy
I use it on top of salads as my dressing or use it as a dip. It's soooo good!
hope you all enjoy!

Hey, thanks for sharing.
Questions and more questions: In a food processor? Wouldn't that be lumpy? Are the nuts soaked and dried, or just soaked and wet (thereby giving a creamier texture?
Would like to give it a try eventually, but I'm trying to cut down on nuts, unfortnately, LOL.

Sounds yummy.
To answer MK's questions...MY FP really creams food. Yes, I soak most of my nuts before preparing recipes...THAT helps make foods creamier too.

Mary Kay.....I never tried it with soaked nuts but now that you mention it I think I'm gonna try it out! Thanks.
I use a food processor & it makes it pretty creamy but I actually prefer it to have just a little crunch so I don't blend it as much.
It definetly is higher in fat, obviously b/c it's all nuts & olive oil, but honestly you don't need that much of it if you top it on a salad like I do. It would be similar to having a serving of nuts.
I hope you try it & love it :)

Hmmm, I wonder if the wet/soaked nuts might not take away some of the richness of it. Let us know.
And I don't know what I'm talking about: at least this is on a salad---today I was eating handfuls of soaked/dried/salted pumpkin seeds by the handfuls - without anything else. Geez....No wonder I can't get my weight down!
Thanks again,
Mary Kay
