How many of you use the green bags advertised now to help greens stay fresher longer? Do they actually work? Anything bad about them that I should know? We buy almost all organic and I hate it when things go bad- we can't afford any wasted food these days!

I use these bags and love 'em! Just make sure you wash/rinse them out and let them dry between veggies.

I have used them and have some. Regretably, I forget to use them sometimes, and then I am sorry when the veggies have to go to the compost pile. When I use them, they do work.

Use em, love em, they work great. Although always best to use produce asap...the closer to picking the more energy in them!!!

I use the green bags and like them.

I use mesh bags for my produce while shopping (found some great ones at a dollar store) because all those plastic produce bags make me nuts.

Because the produce is in mesh bags when I get home I am forced to put them in the green bags right away. Before I found the mesh bags I too would forget to use the green bags.

I use a regular zip loc and line it with paper towel, wash the produce and stuff it in. Greens keep for at least a week and sometime 2 if I got them fresh at the farmer market.

I love the GREEN bags. I was surprized. I wasn't sure they would work, but they do.

They save everything. My whole refrig is one big GREEN bag. I even use them on my counter to keep tomatoes firm. I hate a mushy tomatoes. They stay as freash and firm as the first day you buy them. I buy a knock off brand at Big Lots but they work just as well as Debbie Meyers.

I'd love to try the new containers they have out!

Yes..Buy them and use them....they work!!!

does anyone know what type of plastic the bags and containers are made of? because if other plastic is dangeorous i have to wonder about these. they have to be using some type of chemical to make this work.

I'm with you, Notwell!

I bought them, and I don't see they perform differently from just ziplock bags.

I won't get them again....

MUCH better, I think, is to buy fewer quantities more often and eat fresher....that is my goal....

It is hard as I travel all around the city for the best deals on organic produce.....

Always a struggle! Always a compromise on soemthing!
