Is there anything one can eat to help fight off skin cancer?

Thanks!

Eat 100% Raw.

Do NOT slather on sun blocks - THEY are the chemicals causing skin cancers.

Exercise.

Go out into the sun.

Eat 100% Raw.

Eat 100% Raw.

Eat 100% Raw.

Eat 100% Raw.

Eat 100% Raw.

Lots of diff't colored antioxidant-filled foods. Berries, red peppers etc.

And you can put alkalizing packs on your skin. Especially wheatgrass. put the pulp on, and then pour some juice on to the pulp. Wrap it in Saran Wrap or put a bandage on it.

My grandmother used to put sliced potatoes wrapped in a damp rag around her forehead when she got a headache. Potatoes are alkaline too!

I've also heard of people putting baking soda slurriies on their skin cancer.

Alkalize from within and then top it off with the alkalizing wraps on the skin. Check your body's pH. Keep it high 7.5 - 8 for a while, and report back here! LOL

Does sunblock really cause skin cancer? I thought that it helped prevent skin cancer and sunburning and that going out without any causes spots in the skin. Are we supposed to be getting sunburned?

Yes

I thought that it helped prevent skin cancer and sunburning and that going out without any causes spots in the skin.Rather liver spots (which is actually toxic liver coming to the surface ~ than cancer ~ which comes from the inside, out, not the outside in ~ unless one slathers oneself with toxic chemicals.)

Are we supposed to be getting sunburned? Is that the only other choice? Sunblock or burn? I think not. People lived in the sun waaaaaay before sunblock was ever invented and far fewer of those people EVER got skin cancer. As a matter of fact, sun is a healer, not the evil doer the manufacturers of those toxic products would have one believe.

I always get sunburned if I'm in the sun for any significant amount of time without sunblock. And sometimes the burns can be painful if I was out long enough. I used to work in the sun 8 hours a day and I would really suffer whenever I didn't put sunblock on.

That's why we have long-sleeved clothing. Yes, you sweat, but is it worse than sunburn? or cancer?

I mostly just have short sleeve shirts and shorts. If you always wear long sleeve stuff, then isn't that like having sunblock without the chemicals and blocking the Vitamin D? Is there a safe amount of time you can spend uncovered in the sun to get Vitamin D but not get sunburned?

If one consumes 100% Raw their skin will not burn. There is nothing leaching out; no toxins that will burn. THAT is what causes sunburn. You figure our skin is our biggest organ and if everything we consume is healthy and living, we will be creating a clean, living environment...

Now if you are 100% Raw for a week and go out naked in the sun? You are gonna burn. I'm talking being "clean" for a while...

My wife has had basil cell carcinoma off and on for several years. It has stayed away for quite a while but has recently came back as three spots across her forehead. She is going to the Dr. in the morning.

She has not consumed meat since she was a child (now 50) she does however eat dairy, not much but some here and there. She is not raw either except for a breakfast shake. Potatoes and pasta are her main cooked foods.

Thanks for the great info!

So we become immune to sunburn when eating raw? About how long would we need to have been eating raw for this to happen? And is there really a difference between 100% and 90-99%? Because I haven't been 100% at all due to Trader Joe's Almond Milk, already ground flaxmeal, canned olives, 60% Raw Lara Bars, a few beans in a salad, and pasteurized almonds.

The sunscreen ingredients you want to look for are zinc oxide (9% or more) and titanium dioxide (6% or more). The only issue with the zinc is that the particles need to be large enough to block the sun and not be so fine that the zinc is absorbed into the skin. This can make the sunscreen look white, unless you put it on after a shower when your skin is still moist.

I get sun in small doses and take precautions if I'm going to be exposed for long periods of time. If I get too much sun my skin burns. Being raw, it heals faster, but it still burns. I think it is my English heritage and there is no cure for that.

I don't think there's a blanket answer for everyone for how long one needs to be raw in order not to get sunburned. It probably varies depending how toxic you were.

If you want the benefits of 100% raw, you gotta go 100%. I don't know if you'll still reap the benefit of not getting sunburned if you include those items in your diet, but I wouldn't count on it. Some people are high raw and wonder why they don't feel amazing yet. It's probably cuz they need to go 100%. So, if you're not reaping the benefits you want from your current diet, go 100%.

My mom had skin cancer a few years ago. After she went 100% raw, the skin cancer went away!:)

Good luck on your raw journey.
