I bought some of these last week at my health food store and just got around to trying them. I do NOT like them! I started with the chocolate cookies. They were bitter and had a strong, weird aftertaste.
Then I tried the gingersnaps. They started out tasting good at first, but then had the overwhelming taste of powdery ginger and again, the weird aftertaste.
Last was the pizza snacks. They smelled of pizza and had a really bright flavor at first that soon grew overwhelming and the texture was just off. It was as though they got the pizza seasoning flavor right but nothing else about them tasted of pizza. And then again there was the weird aftertaste.
Maybe it is the sesame seeds? Something just doesn't taste right.

Yeah - I've tried them all too and meh...Plus they are super expensive up here in Canada so it's easy not to buy them!!:D

Unfortunately most commercial raw snacks don't taste good, especially the ones at the health stores. I never understand how they're able to make money. The true test is if a SAD eater would like them. Normally if I don't, I know they won't.
There are some wonderful companies that create amazing snacks, but usually you can only find them on-line or at raw places.

Oh no, it sounds like the seeds/nuts in the package might have gone rancid, especially since you mention the bitter aftertaste. A definite challenge to packaged raw treats is that our wonderfully live food does spoil quickly. I haven't liked all of the packaged raw snacks I've tried but I did like the Go Raw pizza snacks which makes me especially wonder if it was a bad pack.
You might want to call the store (or go back and show them the packages) and explain that it appears they were rancid. They might give you replacement packs or refund them. You could also ask them:
* how long have they had them?
* how are they handled (ie do they refrigerate them? does the manuf have recommendations for "use by")?
* can they start refrigerating any raw packaged snacks they have?
If the health food store is not helpful about it (or if you're uncomfortable contacting them), you could also contact Go Raw directly (Go Raw might actually appreciate that, since they want to stay in good graces with the health food stores), especially if you don't see a "use by" date on the packs. They might offer to send you fresh free packs and/or at a minumum would consider putting a "best by" date on the packs from now on.
Some thoughts, hope that helps!

I do like their pumpkin seed bars. But none of the other bars I've tried. Just too sweet.

I got their original coconut cookies and their spicy snacks . . . I can't remember what they were called, and I loved them. I got them from a refrigerated section at Whole Foods, and I noticed on the package that they do ask for any feedback, and also note the perishable nature of the snacks. Sorry you didn't like them! There were no weird tastes or aftertastes with mine.
