View Full Version : Confusion with Meal Plan in Alissa's Book...

I've been reading over the 4 week meal plan in Alissa's book. It says what foods to eat, and what to buy, but then it says what to eat on Day 1, and Day 3 or 4. What about the other days?? Do you just eat the same food from Day 1 on Day 2 as well? Day 3 or 4 foods for Days 5,6 and 7??
I totally don't get it :confused:
Do you just eat salads to fill in the blanks??

You eat what you want if it's raw, really. I think she put those in there as suggestions because some people are just at a loss for what to eat. When I started out with my first raw book I thought I was supposed to do just what the book said. I didn't realize how diverse raw is. If you really have no idea what to eat, then Alissa's meal plan suggestions are great. Otherwise experiment with her recipes, others, and your own anytime and everytime you want, to your hearts content. You will eventually realize what and how much is best for you. I agree with Amberly. By week three I was eating date nut torte for breakfast! This is your journey. Make it fun. Enjoy!

I agree as well... Alissa says to make sure that you have plenty of fruit and veggies (Salads) to complement your meals. That's what I did (pls click on the link in my signature line...) Also, the meals are pretty large, so you should have enough to last you for Days 1-3 or 4 and 5-7. I actually 1/2'd the meals and STILL had enough to last me a few days. That is to keep you from having to "uncook" every single day... But, this lifestyle is about FREEDOM.
As Lucy said, this is YOUR journey. Make it fun...Enjoy! That way, it WILL indeed become a LIFESTYLE for you...not just a phase in your life.

OHhhhhHH Okay! That makes sense. I was thinking that the meals were only large enough for one day or so. That makes much more sense to me now. Thanks!
