Hi everyone

So I'm about one week raw, totally loving it, and experimenting with a lot of new techniques. A neighbor just dropped off a big ol sack of tomatoes, and I was thinking I might make my own sun-dried version in the dehydrator. I googled it really fast and didn't find any raw links to it being successful. Any tips/suggestions?

I'm already up to my ears in my own tomatoes and have made juice, sauce and eat them whole, so I'd like to save some for later and not overdose on lycopene if possible.

thx

I just slice mine in half and put them on the dehydrator trays at 110* until they're dry. No need to do anything more to them.

I've sliced and marinated with lime juice salt, and basil and dehydrated....yummy. They kept well for a year. I dried them crisper than you typical sundried tomato.

Welcome aboard!
