I made these 2 days ago & I have to say...these are the BOMB!!!! WOW! I made the Super Candy last year & they were good, but not perfect (just my opinion) There was some taste that I just didn't love. Well these are amazing. I actually used Cashew & almond butter in these. They are very rich but not as sickening sweet like the SC & I savored every bite...and could still have eaten more...control, control!! YUM, YUM YUM!!!

In Chinese medicine, fo-ti is a longevity tonic that is used for greying hair, premature aging, weakness, vaginal discharge, and erectile dysfunction. Red fo-ti is considered a tonic to increase vitality and energy, strengthen the blood, kidneys and liver. White fo-ti is used for constipation.
There is evidence that fo-ti can lower serum cholesterol, decrease hardening of the arteries, and improve immune function.
* Atherosclerosis

Wow, that's cool! Does is serve any purpose in the recipe other than giving it super-food powers? Taste, etc?
