Well, here I am again, always lurking but not saying much. This time, I need some help on what raw food can actually do for me since I just found out I possibly have thyroid cancer.

I have a golf ball sized nodule on my thyroid that needs to be surgically removed and biopsied for cancer. If cancer, they take out the whole thyroid gland out. When this happens, my metabolism will plummet and then about 4-6 weeks after that I have to start radioactive iodine in pill form for 2 months.

I am a singer with a possibility of damaging the nerves to the vocal chords. This scares me. Also, with the insurance that I have (which is pretty good), the surgery is going to be around 35K with me paying $500 deductible and 20% of that cost. WOW, WOW, WOW. Are you kidding?

I am scheduled for October 6. I just went to an energy healer and realized that I wasn't walking my talk that I had believed in so many years. When you get cancer or anything else life threatening what do you do? Natural healing of course. It's a whole lot different when there is something growing inside of you and you want it out fast. So, I decided to go the alternative route and cancel the surgery for now.

I have called on an acupunturist but she decided, after much thought that she couldn't risk the possibility of moving the cancer around since acupuncture would change energy flows in a big way. So, now what?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen some amazing cancer testimonies from their site and the two documentaries about them, "The Gerson Miracle" and "The Beautiful Truth." They are forced to run their facility over the border in Mexico, but if I were in your situation, it would be a no-brainer, I would go. You can also practice at home, but they encourage cancer patients to go to their clinic.

I agree that full blown, sattivic, organic raw food treatment is the best way to go. the first time I went raw it was a spartan health clinic facility like Gerson's: Optimum Health Institute in San Diego, CA.

Over 3 weeks I watched people in wheelchairs leave walking and others claim their AIDS was back to HIV, Stage 4 Cancer in remission and Diabetes cured, etc. I was 18 and overwhelmed but the proof was really there. They have strong beliefs in healing power of wheat grass including poultices over your ailment or tumor.

Hey there. The word that pops out to me is "possibly" cancer. Are you 100% sure this is what you have? Is this just one doctor's opinion? This isn't life-threatening, is it?

If this were me? I would've started like yesterday going gung ho 100% Raw and increasing my sea veggies. I had numerous nodules and when I went 100% Raw -eating as many sea greens as I could tolerate, within 11 months the nodules disappeared AND my thryoid started functioning again (pre Raw, it was dead)!

Thyroid problems are a big (money-making) business nowadays. It's like the buzz word of medical issues.

I would try to keep an even keel and go about this smartly, which I think postponing the surgery was a smart move...

I realize this, but not all nodules are cancerous and I (personally) do not trust doctors and to have something surgerically removed is scary to me. It smells of money to me. That's just my opinion. ;)

The situation is this: They did a fine needle aspiration on the nodule and found abnormal cells. They actually have to go in surgically to not only remove the nodule because it is so big but then to biopsy it. If it comes back positive they have to remove the whole thyroid gland. If they then find out it wasn't cancer and find out later they have to go back in and remove the gland surgically. There is possible vocal damage because it is so close to the vocal chords. UGH!!!!

I am starting with the MC and then onto lots of juicing. I'm also doing other forms of healing in the way of energy and meditation and healing chants.

I truly believe that the body will heal whatever needs to be healed. We have the power inside, I am sure of this. You just have to believe.

Yes I would do a drastic natural approach and avoid all conventional methods of cancer treatment. Raw cures lotsa stuff. I wouldnt buy tje medical hype either....again easy to say over here.

Follow your body and listen to it and it will heal.

If you have any root canal-treated teeth, get them removed by a surgeon who knows how to do it properly. All root canals are toxic loads on the body. Dr. Josef Issels and others have connected them with cancer.

I would do 100% raw food before any attempt of any surgery. You can consider to consult a dr. that do raw food dr. Fred Biciski, dr. Gabriel Cousens, Dr. Clement (hypocrate institute) or someone else. There is also the Ann Wigmore institute that specialize in cleansing. Miracles happen and food choice definitely help the end result.

Don't give up, please try the natural way before anything else. If cancer, it takes years and years to get there, you surely can give yourself an extra month to see if it works.

I would do a pure raw alive food diet. I am not a doctor and you need to discern everything you read and do research.

I feel excited in a big way and feel that this is the beginning of something good and something new. I really need to reorganize my life in certain ways. This is good.

I am a singer and haven't had it for awhile. The thyroid, according to metaphysical thoughts is the center of creativity. Well, this is an area that will be worked on on another level. I always said that when I am 50 I will go back and sing again. Who knows?

i myself have a thyroid nodule about 6cm...which is pretty large. i have had numerous FNAs, and they have come back all clean, but since the nodule is so large, the suspect it to be cancerous. if it gets any bigger, the doc says it "has to be removed"

however, these things are generally very common, and many who have them, do not even know it.

do you have Hashimoto's Thryoiditis? if so, this could be why you have an enlarged nodule.

My godmother is a Professor at MIT who told me about a campus study that indicated cancer cells react favorably to oxygen exposure and can multiply faster. I don't understand this in comparison with oxygenated blood however, which helps control or prevent cancer. The study is not yet published.

The U.S. is the ONLY country in the world that can legally advertise drugs (prescription drugs)?
