I enjoy drinking wine occassionally (always white wine and only a few times a year). Does anyone know the heating procedure for making wine? Any help would be appreciated.

I picked up some information that the grapes are heated so that the peal bursts, but I have also heard about raw wine. I think the bad thing about wine is not the heating but the nerve poison alcohol.

GoingtoRaw, organic wine is considered raw. Whole Foods has a pretty good selection of organic wines.

My husband has made a lot of wine from our grapes. Heat was never used for any part of the process. *Ü*

Well I was wondering about that because when I was a child my father used to make wine and I remember something boiling on the stove but I don't think it was the fruit....thanks.
