Developed this with DD in mind to mimic a cracker she likes.

It was a no-go with her - but I loved it!

3 pounds tomato
1 pound onion
1 clove garlic (I used a pickled garlic from my pickle crock - much milder than plain raw garlic)
1 T course sea salt
2 small handfuls sweet basil
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cups flax meal
1.5 cups sunflower seed meal

with FP on, put in the garlic clove, when it starts to stick to the sides, slowly pour in salt. When noise stops, stop FP.

Put in the onions and process to a nicely chopped state. Put in bowl.

Process tomatoes, probably 2-3 batches in an 11 cuper. Add to the bowl.

very finely chop the basil and add in.

pour in the flax and sunflower meals, pour in oil, and fold it all together till the mixture is consistent throughout.

Spread on 4 teflex sheets and dehydrate, flipping 1/2 way through.

enjoy!

T-Bird,

Thanks for sharing. Sounds good! Ain't it the truth though?---I make something and think it's great, but the rest of my family poo-poo's it, or just think's it's "okay."

Speaking of bread...

Ani Phyo posted on her facebook page yesterday that she had just made a "soft" and "thick" bread in her dehydrator and the only ingredients were zucchini, ground flax seeds and a little water.

I can't wait to try it!

For those of us who don't do Facebook, can you give more details, please? I've been gifted with a bunch of shredded frozen organic zucchini and was wondering...

This is what Ani posted:

"Bread - yesterday I put 2 cups zucchini, 3 cups flax meal, 1 cup water into food processor. Spread it thick onto one 14 inch dehydrator tray. It's been drying for maybe 12-14 hours...and is spongy like cooked bread! I'm making pizza for lunch!"
