Hello - I'm going to join the others who have posted a raw pregnancy picture. I am 20 weeks along with #7. This is also my update picture since I have now been raw for 8 months! During this pregnancy I have lost 12 pounds but then gained 2.5 of it back in the last few weeks. My grand total weight lost since Jan. 6th is 60.5 pounds, and I would like to lose 40 more once the baby is born.

I'm posting my "before" picture as well so no one will have to go back and search in my previous post. The first pic was taken in Dec. 08 and the 2nd was taken this morning. I can't say thank you enough to Alissa and everyone on this forum for all of the support you have given me over the last 8 months. It helps me so much to not feel alone in this journey.

qfmother Wow!!!! Kudos to you for giving your LO a taste (in utero) for all of the good things. Studies have shown that they will more readily accept these same healthy foods later when they are presented compared to peers who did not get in utero exposure.

You look great and I am sure that your pregnancy has been a lot easier than putting on additional traditional pounds!!!

I wish that I had been raw while I was pg. I think that I would have had tons more energy. I am so impressed. I hope that you plan to breastfeed as well. That should really help you with your weight goals.

I bet your Dr./midwife is really proud of you.

Best wishes for a happy/healthy birthing.

QFM, you look beautiful! Look at your arms, how slim they are. For some reason I always notice that. You are going to be so thrilled that you stayed with it when babe is born. Thanks for updating, it is such an encouragement.

you look so good. When I was preg, I was 80% raw, just didn't know it:D. I was the only one out of 15 preggers at work that didn't have ges dm & all those other things. I had other issues but know it helped heal me.
Keep it up, when all the preggers how you look so good...raw baby.

Thanks babeak, and yes, I do plan to breastfeed. I have breastfed all 6 of my children so far, some of them for a long time. With #6 I had low milk supply issues and tried everything in the book to increase my supply before finally supplementing her with formula. You don't know me of course, but that was an extremely hard thing for me to do - none of my other babies had ever had formula and I had always been very proud of that fact. Anyway, I am hoping and praying that my raw diet will heal whatever the issue is that has been causing my supply to go down with each child starting with #4 (#4 and #5 weren't so bad that I needed to supplement, but looking back I can see a pattern). The lactation consultant suspects something with my pituitary gland not producing enough prolactin, so I'm just hoping that the raw diet I've been on has healed the pituitary enough to make a difference.

Thanks katchmoleen - I have also noticed my arms being thinner. But now the problem is that some flab hangs down when I hold them up and swings around a bit... This is something I've noticed in my grandmother and now my mother, and I always hoped I wouldn't have that happen to me... But I know exercise will help, I just need to work on that habit in my life now.

Thanks margoss, I have seen a difference in myself during this pregnancy too, although I've never had serious pregnancy issues in the past. No backache this time around, and that is a biggie for me because I've struggled with that a lot in the past!

How's your baby now?

I'm a breastfeeding mom and would love to hear the continuation of your story. I was on raw food diet a week ago but I lost track. My supply seems to diminish... I need to research on the proper foods so I can keep up with my baby's needs.

I just had a baby and I have been vegetarian over half my life but am just trying to go fully raw vegan. I would love it if you would post a sample diet day fr your pregnancy. I am nursing now and want to make sure I am getting adequate nutrition for me and lO. You look amazing to be on baby 8, wow!
