After my 2.5-hour workout yesterday (mostly High Intensity) I will probably take a 3- to 4-mile walk today. My knee is a bit ouchy again, so I'm thinking moderate pace (3 mph or so).

Hello everyone, I don't have a stupendous workout regime but I have recently become car-less so I walk....EVERYWHERE and your know the song "Nobody walks in L.A."? Well I do and this week I have been incorparating (sp) 4 mile jogging 2-3 time a week. I have a lot of extra weight to carry around (I'm 5'3 @ 200 lbs.) so its a little difficult right now but I know it will get easier.

This morning, I accidentally swallowed a bit of my dental rinse and it has made me really queasy.
It takes a lot to keep me out of the gym, but I could not eat or workout.
Anyway, may take a walk this evening or do some Wii Fit aerobics.

I usually do not work out on Sundays. I am a minister, so I am at work all day. However, I usually average about 12,000 steps on my pedometer on Sundays.
Feeling a little guilty because I rested yesterday, too . . . but I know there is wisdom in listening to my body.
Thanks for a great week!

I jogged my 4 miles today and was left with more energy then last time. I'm going to start doing some light weight lifting to tone and increase my amino acid intake by adding sprouted quinoa to my salads. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Yep - read THRIVE by Brendan Brazier. He is a vegan athlete who explains how to fuel your body regardless of fitness level, workout intensity, etc.
I've been using his RAW energy drinks and puddings -- amazing!

Jumping into this rawsome gym for Sept...
August was good, actually got really back to hiking. Did not always meet goals but I have been very active.
I have been running a bit on my hikes and nooo knee problems (miracle!).i hike a few miles but i have yet to run outside more than 3/4 of a mile , i am gradully increasing.I'd like to get up to 3 to 4 miles outside in the month or two.
My Sept goals reflect this.

I'm an idiot! drove all the way to the gym for my 6:00 p.m. spin class and totally forgot it was Labor Day - they were about to close the doors early.
So I went grocery shopping - put a few steps on the old pedometer but not enough to call exercise.
Thinking I'll go for a swim -- it is way to late to heat the pool, but my wetsuit is handy so I'm gonna slip that on and jump right in -- at least get my heart rate up.
See you all Tuesday!

Tough workout today -- 1 full hour of really intense weight-training. I'm paying special attention to my form since my knee is being weird.
Experimenting with wearing my Vibram shoes to the gym -- seems to help with stability with squats and lunges - and they're cute (see pic)
Until tomorrow!

Hi there, I know I joined the Sept fitness challenge but I'll be if I cant get my butt motivated. I still do a lot of walking and Im commited to jogging on Sundays but I know I really need to incorporate a DAILY routine. I have these great workout videos that combine strength training with cardio....I just keep putting it off. But yesterday was the last day for procrastinating and just for accountability reasons I'll let all of you fellow go getters know my schedule is as follows:
Sun-run,Mon-upper,Tue-lower,Wed-walk,Thur-upper,Fri-lower,Sat-walk.
That being said I will see you tomorrow with progress report.:D

10 Minutes Stretching afterwards -- ahhhhhhh! Needed more, but had to go into the city.
