It seems to be all I want. My body seems to crave fruit and I have to force myself to eat anything else.
Anyone else here eat more fruit than anything else?

*nodding* yup at some times i sure do. other times i eat mostly salads. depends on what my body asks for but yes... you can totally live on fruit if that's what your body is asking for.

remember... fruits are anything with seeds - cucumbers, peppers, avocados... ;)

Yep, a large portion of my diet is fruit. About 70%.

Fruit and greens for me and the odd vegetable here and there.

I just got home from the Raw and Living Spirit Retreat, and after sitting through several workshops, and talking to various 'experts', I feel a lot more comfortable with giving in to my fruit appetite!
Fruit, some greens with fruit in the smoothies, large green salads, and more fruit whenever I feel like eating fruit.
Fruit, of course, includes non-sweet fruit, such as tomatoes, red peppers, cucumbers, and other seed-bearing 'fruit'.

Yup, me too.

I see no problem with high amounts of fruit, as long as you also get some greens too. I personally think that people who have problems on fruit are simply not getting enough minerals from greens.

In this house I'd say we're about 50/50. We love our fruit in the AMs and green smoothies in the afternoons or salads with fruit dressing but come the evening we gotta have the veggies.
Some days however it is more fruit then veggies, especially if we are out and about most of the day. Fruit is just easier to pack around with us.

I went to a raw festival to hear lots of 'experts' a year ago. What I got from the whole fruit debate is that if you are a healthy person then fruit shouldn't be a problem.
But I think some people here have healed or on to healing their health issues by eating lots of fruit... ? I could be making things up ....

I'm a veggie girl :)

I eat mostly fruit by volume ( I don't count calories or weigh anything). I also eat greens and an occasional young coconut.

Right now, fruit is awesome as there's such a variety in season, so it's easy to load up on this, which I'm doing, both eating it, and in my green smoothies. When the weather gets cooler however, and the shorter days of winter(no matter where you are short of the tropics)it is natural to have a shift toward less sweet and light, and more dense and savory foods in the raw lifestyle. Lots of people go through phases of high fruit, and adjust as needed. If they are thriving on high fruit, they tend to stick with it...just my thoughts here.

I definetly go through phases where I eat mostly fruit for a while. Listening to your body is so important. You might switch to eating more veggies after this phase!

I have absolutly been eating mostly friut and greens (and the occasional nut). I am having a hard time thinking about specific veggies except carrots......huh. Fruit (both sweet and not sweet) are what I am craving and as I am new to the lifestlye I am giving into those cravings!

Yes yes, I go through lbs and lbs of fruit daily. Eat up!

Yup, I eat mostly fruit and have even gone a week or more eating nothing BUT fruit. Eventually my body always starts to crave greens but that part of the cycle always seems shorter than the fruit craving part.

I don't see how you could get enough calories by eating anything BUT mostly fruit.

Unless you're talkin about avacodos, nuts, or seeds??? Veggies don't have many calories.

I just realized with the exception of nuts I tend to eat a lot of fruit but it's mostly berries. Many fruits have too sweet of a flavor for me to chow on frequently.

I feel absolutely my best eating fruit and drinking green juice. Not at the same time though, you know.

most raw foodists don't care about calories. that's a 'cooked food concern' not one for us.

if we need more energy... we eat. if we don't... we don't. period :)

i do yoga for 90 minutes in the morning (hard workout too), then i go for one or two walks for about 30+ each... and then i usually rebound in the evening every day or second day for 30+ minutes. AND i'm pregnant with (what we believe is) twins... and i have heaps of energy!!!

ya i'm tired by the end of the day... but i should be don't ya think LOL

No, I don't eat many avacodos, nuts or seeds.
Although I heard of a good raw pudding recipe involving an avacodo.
