Hey everyone, how do you tell whats a good brand to buy? What about knowing if it's raw? I can't buy things online but in a store I found Bali Sun virgin coconut oil and I have been using it. But before I keep going and putting it in my smoothies I wanna find out if it's good or not. I know good raw coconut oil is sooooooooo very good for your body so I wanna make sure I'm doing the best I can here and not putting in something bad to my smoothie.

Thanks for any help or info :)

From what I've read of it, it seems like it is raw. Hard to know without the manufacturer info. You can email or call them if you want to know for sure. You also live where Virgin Oil De Coco Creme (the one Alissa carries) is manufactured.

I also use the Bali Sun virgin coconut oil. At my health food store, I was told it was the best one they carried (among at least 3-4 other brands). It made sense because it was almost double the price of the other brands. I've bought another brand since and the Bali Sun brand has the best smell, fresher, more virgin.

I'd eat it!

LOL, I think I'm the 'I'd Eat it' woman.

Just to let you know, coconut oil is one of the most (if not the most) stable oils of all. Even if it has been heat treated, I'd still use the jar if I'd already bought it as it will not have any of the nasty chemical changes that other oils have due to heat treament.

Best to contact the manufacturer if you have any queries regarding the manufacture process. :)
