Questions about dates

So I found a local farm that sells organic dates for 3.50 a lb. Is this a decent price???

Also, are they usually dehydrated or are they fresh? And how long do they keep? If it's a good deal I might as well go farm crazy and stock up.

Well......I just paid about $6 for NON organic medjool, so I would say that is an excellent price!

At that price, buy all they have! I just paid $8.99/lb for Organic Dates at Whole Foods.

A friend brought me about 10 lbs of dates from a farm back in early spring. I finally ran out about a week ago and they were still fresh. I just kept them in the fridge, and they were fine (approx 5 months).

Our local health food stores sells organic pitted dates for $3.59 per pound. They can't tell what kind they are (I know they're not medjool) - but they are still so good. I think that's a great price! *Ü*
