Hello everyone,
I'm Sharon from Arkansas. My user name is "dorcas". The explanation of who she was is in my signature. I put that there because of questions I got about my name the last time I took the 100 day challenge - a couple of years ago. I am back and plan to join the 30-day challenge.
I learned about eating raw vegan several years ago when I did a search for cancer cure. That led me to so many websites about eating raw vegan that I became a believer. I'd always known that raw plant foods were the best, but for someone to actually eat only raw all the time never even occurred to me. I never thought it possible.
The last time I was here, I took the "100 day challenge", and lasted about 4 days of 100% raw. In those four days, all joint pain disappeared except for the worst one which was my right elbow. I continued to eat mostly raw for only another six or so days. About a year later, I went on a simple raw diet following one of the writer's advice here that I found. It was amazing to see the pounds fall off, but now I have gone back to my old ways and need to steer back to raw eating.
I am 51 with three daughters, one still at home. I have been married for 30 years. I love anything pertaining to homesteading, especially the home arts part of it.
