:confused:I have noticed that when I eat too many dates or raw fudge, or pretty much anything that is sweet my stomach does not agree with it at all. The next day I feel horrible! I can have all the super sweet fruit & it won't bother my stomach but any of the rich desserts & my body is like in shock (could be b/c I don't eat raw desserts that often......just a thought)
Anyone like me or know why this happens?

Sure. Operative words ~ "too much". Too much of anything will cause issues.

very true.....however, that isn't always the case.....I should have clarified. Sometimes its just when I eat "rudge" (raw fudge) or other desserts that I feel that way, even when I don't eat alot of it

We each need to listen to how our bodies react to things...if these don't agree with you don't eat them~

Wow! Now that you say that.....I think I'm the same way. I used to eat them all the time when I first went raw. I'd add some to smoothies or eat them for dessert now it's like they are just to rich for me!

I think it's because a lot of those raw dessert recipes don't follow proper food combining rules. Fruit and nuts aren't a proper food combination as fruit should be eaten alone.
Also, the dates you're eating are probably dried, right? When foods are altered from their natural state, it's not surprising that you might not feel quite right after eating it. Some people don't notice any bad feelings from it, but if you do then it's probably best not to eat it.

That's a good point! I've been thinking about how it's been makin me feel sick & I think what I've realized about my body is that it likes simple foods....not alot of combining. I do best when I eat light---my diet mainly consisting of fruits & veggies.....or salads with avacado. Other than that it's like food combining is hard on my body.

my dh is the same way. (and me to a point)...
when we eat rudge (;) cute way of saying RAW fudge btw... I had never heard it said that way!!)
cheeze cakes, mousse cakes with cacao -- the food is sooooo RICH.. it really only takes a very small serving to satisfy you.
that's why lot's of peeps cut RAW fudge or brownies into small squares and keep them in the freezer - then just eat one small square at a time!
My husband has trouble digesting nuts.. so any dessert made with nuts or any entrees made with nuts - he will eat only the smallest amount and be full almost immediately. If he overeats... he ends up with a lot of discomfort.
the only dessert that I can shamelessly eat a lot of is Raw icecream made with young Hawaiian coconuts... !! :D
