Hi=)
Last night my spirooli came and I can't recommend it enough. My dd called it homemade spaghetti and doesnt realize its not wheat spaghetti. She said," Is it real spaghetti?" and I said "Well, it's not imaginary, of course its real, but this is zucchini spaghetti". I have to be extra careful that the sauce is outrageously wonderful, so they will like it..
blueberry/banana smoothie (out of greens  )
zucchini marinara
spicy mushroom curry
chocolate ice cream
I hope you have lots of fantastic things to eat today, and even more fantastic things to do=)

I've been struggling a little mentally today I really don't know why, I think it's getting over the hump of a week raw (today is day 8 for me). I am going to do some food prep today. I'm finally going to make the other half of the strawberry crepes (if my banana leather isn't ruined). And get my marinara sauce rockin' for tonight. My mom gave me 6 bell peppers from her garden yesterday and I'm thinking they need a stuffing ... maybe some walnut taco meat, some cheezy sauce, dehydrate until soft (for tomorrow).
Food for today:
Superfood Shake
2 Clementines
Zucchini Pasta w/ marinara
Salad
Strawberry Crepes

Heather

Okay, I'm either really late for August or just really early for the Sept challenge. I'll go withearly for Sept, that sounds more motivating! Getting back into swing withraw...yesterday was a good day..all raw! Throughout the day...apple pie, plums, 1 mango, fajita mix w/guac. raw cinnaroll and a handfull of raisins. That gets you down almost a pound! Yea!
Today's plan - (had) banana & raw cinnaroll, 1 clementine small and yummy. I have a raisin/carrot salad to start on. Fruit for snacking. Supper will be either more fajita mix or marinated mushrooms.
Have a good one!

Welcome grits! I started late too! I'm only on day 8. But I figured it would be a good thing to start early and keep this thread hoppin' since oftentimes people drop off near the end and we can be an encouragement to the people that have been hanging on from the beginning.
Blessings,
Heather

I'm on Day 16 -- cannot remember when I have felt better -- this is awesome!
AND - it proves what Alissa claims, i.e., there is all the difference in the world between 80 to 90% raw and 100% raw -- why did I ever doubt that?
Thanks to everyone for the inspiration!!!!
Tomorrow, I am having colleagues over for a lunch meeting. They are gonna (literally) get a taste of my amazing un-cooking:
Open-faced mock Tuna Sandwich with Micro Greens
Jicama "Potato Salad"
Berries with Creme Fraiche, or maybe Lucy's Raw Chocolate/Chocolate Chip Ice Dream (except I have already eaten most of that!) :o
Will post photos tomorrow.

It is so encouraging to read everyones posts.
PLUS.... all the amazing ideas everyone has... makes my mind dizzy with all the wonderful possibilities we truly do have when it comes to adventurous meal planning!
one thing I am seriously craving is Alissa's marinara! so many of you have been having that...
and would you believe I bought a spiroli and it's STILL in the box! I found it yesterday and couldn't believe I never opened it!!
Now -- in my defense I have been making a lot of noodles out of young hawaiian scoop meat coconut... it's great with thai recipes!
so I'll be breaking the spiroli out of it's prison soon!!
I have a whole list of stuff I want!!
Alissa's marinara
Alissa's chili
Alissa's rye bagels
Alissa's nori roll ups...
I think reading all your posts and then staring at all of ReneeH's photos in her blog woke up my taste buds!
I need to go shopping! so until I do...
on the menu today my chia pudding with grapes and salad for lunch and dinner!

Star, where do you get all those cute graphics?
Good day today. decluttered a couple of closets and got rid of a whole bunch of clothes that are TOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIIG!!!!! Yehaa! But now I have very little to wear, lol and don't want to get much because I have a lot more to lose. Thrift store here I come. I am visiting my mom this weekend and she loves to spoil me a bit so I will see if she will take me to the thrift stores.
B: Green smoothie of spinach, banana, brazil nuts, and coconut oil
L: Mediterranean bread with walnut pate
S: Will be a nice green salad and I just picked up the ingredients for Alissa's Pad Thai. I have heard so many raves I can't wait to try it.

Today was a mono banana day, ate 15 bananas. Couldn't eat any more, realised from reading some stuff freelea posted elsewhere that they weren't ripe enoguh.
Am doing this to get over my craving hurdles and sort out emotional attachment to food. It feels a little bare to go mono (have done mono grapes for 2 days and that was good as they are so juicy, although harder to stabilise blood sugar than the nanas)
I enjoyed reading everyone else's food today, got super vivid images and flash tastes of everything in the old brain!

I'm still hanging in here, just seem to not have time to post. So I'm going to make an effort with August winding down to a close. Also, I'm trying out some mono eating:
5-6 bananas
1 pint blueberries
Portabello burger in lettuce wrap with Raw Dawg Rory's BBQ sauce - YUM!
plums (5-6)
