LOVE my Cuisinart. Had a Hmilton Beach that was soooo hard to clean. This Cuisinart is gr8!

Kitchen Aid.
I think the quality is actually the same, the FP is more durable, customer service is better, and the price is a lot less than Cuisinart.

I got the 12-cup FP, and I love it.

I've got a Cuisinart FP and I love it too! However, in all honesty - if it were to go to appliance Heaven ~ I'd take a good long look at a KitchenAid. I like the KA's citrus juicing attachment.

Back when I got the Cuisinart, it had the largest/widest food chute on the market, but now KA has a large one too.

I'm sure I'd be tickled with either of them. I've got a lot of KA appliances and I love them all (except my manual hand chopper, I didn't like that one).*Ü*

thanks everyone

question on the kitchen aid....continual chop????

i hope this makes sense. what i mean is with the cuisinart i am looking at, if you take out the stuffer thingy in the shoot it "unlocks" it and the blade stops running

this seems ANNOYING and also....if i happen to lose that shoot stuffer.....it could happen:rolleyes:

I have had my cuisinart for 15 years and used it a LOT--never, ever had any problems with it at all. It's the vitamix of food processors in my opinion=)

On both of the Cuisinarts that I've had - the assembly that fits into the food chute is actually 2 pieces. On my current FP, I'm able to remove the very center piece which is about 1.5" around to add food or liquid without the machine stopping.

But I cannot remove the larger insert that's the size of the food chute without stopping the machine. Does that make sense? *Ü*

Back to add this quick video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmaAOX2gFAQ&NR=1&feature=fvwp)that demonstrates what I was trying to explain above. I don't have that particular model, but it's the same top.

Hand down -- Cuisinart!!! My 14-cup FP is fabulous, powerful, and, well, even beautiful to look at.

Yes, you can add food/liquid while it is running.

I use it multiple times daily. Easy to clean - usually just rinse, but give it a quick brushing when making gooey things -- that's it. It is perfect.

My old FP (Black and Decker cheapo) did not handle raw legumes well. The Cuisinart make raw hummus soooo smooth.

It is an AMAZING machine. Go for it!
