Hi! Just found a tick on my daughter's ear. Later she complained of a headache. Did a web search and sounds like blood work is worthless right now, so I plan on keeping an eye on things. Oh, and the medical remedy is anitbotics. So my question is anyone have any experience in this area? Any particular foods to fight off infection? If antibotics are ordered, any foods to include to protect good bacteria (yogurt use to be recommended)?
Advice please. And many thanks!

Hi BDraw, I'm sorry you are having to deal with ticks!!! You are right that testing isn't going to show much at this early stage. Did you by chance save the tick? You could have it tested. there is a support group called LymeNet.com(I think it's .com) that will have tons of info. The typical testing for Lyme isn't particularly accurate. If you have her tested ask for a wester blot test. For now, garlic and ginger are excellent antibiotic foods. There are some other herbs also. I don't know how they are dried,so don't know if they would be raw. Hope everthing works out for you and your daughter. Blessings Earthmama

If she had to take antibiodics, then have her take some acidopholus tablets. You can find some chewable or dissolveable ones for her.

Thanks so much and Yes, I did save the tick. I'll call docs office Monday morning to see if they can test.
