Rawdawg Rory did a faux shoyu a while ago. I haven't tried it though.

I use tamari, sometimes alone, sometimes mixed with nama shoyu. It isn't raw but the quantity I use is so small... I consider it a flavoring just like dried spices/herbs. I use organic wheat-free tamari.
