Hi everyone!!! I´ve been reading the forum for some months and I found it interesting and supportive for people who wants to start this different way to eat. To be honest i've tried to be 100% raw many times, my record is 5 days.... then one, two days and always find a good reason for break the promise Excuses: I deserve it, it would be the last time, what can I eat when Im with people? Besides I eat when I feel stressed, sad, angry... even though I know I wont feel better afterwards. Im going through a stressful time in my life, I live in a place which I hate, I work in a place that I hate, I dont want to be here but there is not other way at the moment, im arranging some solutions though :o to improve my situation.
Im not so worried about my weight, im not fat, even though I know I could be slimmer, but that wouldn't be the main reason to become 100% raw. I think I have good genetics, otherwise I would be really fat. Some days I lose control and I feel frustrated, cause I know the way I want to eat and I do it the other way round....and I hate the feeling of losing control. I dont have any addiction, i dont drink, i dont take drugs, etc, this is the only thing that go away from my hands :(
I know my environment is not the best for this way of life.... I dont know any raw food person here or close to here, and sometimes when people see me eating raw they ask questions but I know it is not for curiosity, they laugh at me. And its not im worried about their opinions, but it doesnt help
I dont want to eat some raw food and some junk food...I want to eat 100% raw and Im going to achieve it with ur help :p :)

A very warm welcome from me to you Raw4everwoman. Try not to get discouraged. You have already shown that you can make the effort to do this by trying it several times - even doing it five full days. This is just great. Do keep reading all you can about the benefits of eating raw food from this site and others too. Have you got any books about raw food? Alissa Cohen's "Living on Live Food" is a beauty and so helpful. She wrote in it that she didn't make the switch to eating only raw all at once either. It is a huge change - but so worth it. I, myself, have been struggling to make the changeover for over a year now. I tried many, many times and went back to SAD just like you. It gets easier, and the more raw living food you can get in your tummy, you'll see your thinking clear and your mood stabilize over time. ( among so many other wonderful changes. All the best and I look forward to seeing your posts.

You are trying to solve too many things at once. Change one thing at the time and start with the diet.

Hi!!! Im wondering, how could you get rid off the cravings completely? I found difficult to get rid off coffee with milk in the morning and some junk food in the evening. The good thing is that I eat properly in the middle :D, during the week. It is more difficult at the weekend:( I dont want substitutes...cause I know i would come back to junk food again
My goal is not desire the junk food at all, I think the same as all of you in the forum, lol. I would like to know which mental techniques u use to convince yourself. I love eating fruit, vegetables... well I suppose is a process, and Im sure I will achieve it!!!!! With ur help of course. I will browse Alisa Cohen's book, following ur advice :)

Hey, welcome to Spain!!! I like that there are several countries on here!! Do the best you can, don't beat yourself up if you go off. It's easy to give up this way. If I eat SAD, I 100% raw 2 days b4 & after. I may go weeks 100%. Like you said, I'll eat then realize that I feel worse..crazy. I think part of it is habit. If you don't have anyone around you, you can be their mentor. When they see how much better you feel & look, they'll wonder what the secret it. There's no secret ingredients, just fresh natural food!! I do not have anyone around me but will not sacrifice myself for them. I'll take my own food if I need to. I was a lacto-ovo veggie for yrs & it was always a problem for everyone else. It was a struggle, now I don't worry about. They have the problem, not you. So what if you're a little out the group, let them come to your group. People make seperate food for diabetics, HP people etc but when you choose a lifestyle bc you want it vs it beng a risk, others just don't understand & don't want to go with you.
I'm the only veggie/raw now, caffeince free, animal rights activist, attatched parent, natural, yoga person in my family or group. I feel good, they always feel bad & have many health issues.

Hi!!! Exactly, i want to eat the best food .. They say i look 5 years younger :) maybe it is because the raw food I eat already, and lemon juice when i wake up, it gives me a lot of energy. People laugh because they are not willling to do an effort for having good health. Or they look at me with pity hahah. What do u mean eating SAD? I've seen it many times over here.
By the way im eating a pizza at the moment  Tomorrow i will drink my last coffee and thats it. :o

Hi again Raw4everwoman. Just noticed your added posts now. As for the coffee - don't fret too much over it. That is what so many people on this forum told me. They felt that quitting it would just come naturally in time as I began to feel better and better. But I wanted to quit as soon as possible because it does 2 things to me without question: It makes me much more hungry and it makes me tired and depressed in the long run (like at the end of the day). And I kept going back to it many times. I swear it is harder for me to quit coffee than it was cigarettes. No word of a lie. I can never say anymore that I will never touch it again - I hope I will have the will to never have it again, but they say it takes a very long time to get over an addiction like that. I don't know. I am not drinking any coffee at all these days.
What helped me with cravings for sugar junk food and still helps every day is using plenty of GREENS in green smoothies or plenty of green juice. Use things like baby spinach, kale, swiss chard, cucumber, celery etc. Your skin will love it and your body will get the nutrients needed so you will simply stop craving junk so much. There is lots written here about them. You can blend them up with your fruit. Add anything you want. As for SAD - that means the Standard American Diet. Don't give up and don't beat yourself up.
(((hugs)))

HI welcome to the forum, looks like you have gotten a lot of great advice already which is good. I agree with one of the posters above take it one step at a time. Also it seems that you do have some situations in your life that you are not happy with this can definitely make changing a challenge but it can be done, I believe that if you focus on the positive aspects of what you do have and love you can do it.
