I couldn't say it any better than you have. Gratitude and calm are two big ones here. Grateful because I have begun to run again, after four/five years of my body being torn down, injured, in pain, and not functioning properly. I hadn't ran for the sake of running, since about 1991. I have a lot of ground to make up. I have been brought to tears a few times by the gratitude I feel, that I have found something that is working to help me recover. I have been working out since the beginning of this new venture into raw (four weeks now), and I have not injured myself yet. That was always the case prior to the change. After a few days I would get sidelined for one reason or another. Now, to know that I can resume running again, with a history of a torn meniscus and herniated discs, brings me joy.
Removal, renewal and resurfacing might be another few words I would use....removal of toxins, toxic attitude and habits, removal of that ugly person I became as a result of the pain and malfunctions, and renewal of my mind, and the resurfacing of the old gentler and kinder me. Much work to be done yet, though.
I apologize for going on and on....I don't mean to side track your thread.
You ladies (and gents) are some of the most encouraging folks I have come across on the net. Glad to be part of the group. So, Thank You All.

Hi Streetsurfer,
You are not sidetracking at all! I went 100% raw 2 weeks ago (today starts week 3) to help heal a minor knee injury and nagging hip pain that emerged while training for a triathlon.
Thank you for your post. i want to RUN (without injury) more than anything in the world -- and today, you gave me hope!
Thanks and Love,
Cynthia
