Two years ago I was at the end of my rope. I needed to create change in my life. Looking back now... it seems like I was living a bad dream and I woke up. Now I'm raw, over a hundred pounds lighter... pregnant and living my life to the fullest. I do yoga 5 times a week, I eat raw, I walk everywhere I can... and I am truly enjoying my life.
What a change...
For those of you who are just beginning your journey... trust in the knowledge that your body will heal (mine did from diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, couldn't digest my food... etc), your energy will come back (I could barely walk to the bathroom and back some days... and now I can hike for 3 hours, do 90 minutes of yoga and still want to go for a walk after dinner... and I'm pregnant!), and your weight will reduce.
How'd I do it? I ate. I ate and ate and ate,... anything I wanted as long as it was raw. Once I'd released about 120+ pounds, I decided to do some fasting. I fasted for 262 days in a one year period (Mother's Day 2008 to Mother's Day 2009). Since I stopped fasting I've been eating raw... as much as I want, whenever I want.
I don't limit my food at all. I eat very mono some days and other days eat more complex meals (like a salad with more than 3 ingredients in my opinion is more complex). I don't really think about it to be honest. It just happens.
Now that I'm pregnant I'm not taking any supplements at all. I just eat the right foods for the babies development. Right now she needs iron, protein and calcium. So I'm eating lots of greens, having Vit C with them to assist with iron absorption and having Chia seeds (http://www.therawfoodworld.com/product_info.php?ref=199&products_id=1002259&affiliate_banner_id=1) daily. I'm also having some flax or hemp oil daily.
In all... I'm growing a raw babe... in my raw body... living my raw life... and I absolutely LOVE it!
