Good eating everyone

I began experimenting with veggie recipes probably 6 months ago and then started to learn more things. I love healthy eating and never dreamed I would make it this far. I'm completely raw vegan... Have not decided if I will make the full change but these days I'd say 70% of what I eat is raw food and the rest is a mix if "regular eating".

One of the things that made the change easy was finding a great cook book called raw food real world and another book by the co author called living raw food. anyone else heard of it?

hey thanks for the welcome everyone. I ordered a dehyfrator and a saladacco thingy last week. One of them is in today. I will be off to the post office soon to find out which one!!! *SQUEELS* I'm so freakin excited. Feels like my eating habits are going to get even better if thats possible and my cooking adventures are just beginning. :D

Yes semi interesting story on how I got the book. I was in a popular organic grocery store (love the atmosphere!) and I was looking at cook books. At the time I was starting to experiment with vegetarian cooking and looked at almost every book on their shelf to get ideas. I opened Matthew and sarma's book... and was just randomly flipping threw it. I marveled at some of the beautiful pictures and noticed the one of the two sitting in front of the kitchen over (that they don't use) enjoying a salad... just casually hanging out in classy casual clothes... I put the book on the shelf and did not return or even consider buying it... the book was expensive after all... the months went by and I began to get more into vegetarian cooking. It then hit me out of the blue.. the picture I remember seeing. I thought of it every so often for some reason, how cool they looked and they seemed so interesting. I then decided I needed to go back and read their story. I went to it's sister store but they did not have it. I went back to the same one. I didn't remember the name but at long last after flipping though books I found the couples book. I flipped it open and prayed they had good recipes in addition to th beautiful pictures to make it worth buying. Sure enough it had great info and amazing dishes. I purchased it at once and never regretted the expensive price.


Months later I was exstatic to find sarma had created another book! I went to the book store near by and frequently just to read the book. I was broke but forked out the cash for another (but I have great discounts at the store) and for hours I go back looking at recipes getting ideas and have tried several of them.


sorry for the long post but these books have been my gateway into raw vegan food. I feel so awesome inside to know this secret life!! :p
