So far 2 small grapefruits and maybe a cup of pineapple...

Last night a few non-raw snacks crept in because I hadn't eaten enough fruit.
Trouble is I keep craving a salad for lunch when I know it's best to put that off till evening as it fills me up but doesn't provide enough fuel.
Then my blood sugar dips late afternoon and the cravings come back.
...Note to self, eat fruit at lunchtime!

I woke up this morning and all I wanted was JUICE ... apple/greens/lemon juice to be specific. Unfortunately I didn't have any greens except romain (which I love to eat but hate in smoothies or juice) and had NO lemons. But I did have a few apples left, so I made myself a glass of apple juice and headed to the grocery store and bought the other stuff I needed. I just got done making myself a half gallon of apple/kale/lemon juice and am drinking my first glass - DEVINE! I figure I will nurse this the rest of the afternoon for sure and IF I want later I'll have a salad for dinner, but I may just drink juice today.

Blessings,
Heather

Well, I am going into day 4. Feel great today. Had some headaches yesterday but nothing major.

I'm going out with some friends tonight. I have been stressing about this and hoping they would call and cancel. I know where we're going and I think they have a veggie and dip type thing for an appetizer and maybe a caesar salad for main. I know the dressing is not raw but I know I will want something and that seems like the best option. I don't want to go off this as I feel like I am doing so well so far. Its my fav (ex:o) place for nachos. But I think I am good with not having that. Wish me strength.

http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s43/FireStar_830/18.gif no worries Snoop.... we all wish you lots of strength! AND... don't even stress the dressing. We are all learning to incorporate our health into our day to day living... appreciating and respecting the fact that we are determined to allow ourselves -- to be the BEST we can be, inside, outside, every side!!

Just remember to HAVE FUN... enjoy the evening... you will do fine!!

RAWk on Snoops!! can't wait till tomorrows post so I can read how everything went! :D

oops -- forgot to post my day!! :D

i think my posts will be rather boring! cuz mostly my day starts with Chia Seed pudding with grapes... yep - that's it. I know not so exciting -- BUT I do love it so!!! I think the little bowl I use holds about 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup. But - it's just enough to satisfy me.

I think today I will have my salad a little earlier. Usually I have one somwhere between 12 & 2pm. I kind've trade off -- I will either have my salad for dinner (I am trying to eat no later than 6pm or so).

I was trying to have something a 'little heavier' for dinner - but found I actually like my heavier meal for lunch and something lite for dinner.

by heavy I mean maybe some walnut taco meat rolled up in lettuce - or a collard wrap (although my wraps are NO WHERE NEAR as pretty as ReneeH's that she posted on her blog!) geeze... her's are so beautiful! Mine - I just throw them together roll that puppy up and munch a way!!

I had an incredible day yesterday and today has been good too, except for a weird reaction to my green smoothie. I had read the thread on alternating greens and it is a good thing because I understood what was going on. After just a few drinks my chest tightened and my throat started to burn and I got horribly dizzy for just a few seconds (was driving at the time:eek:). I did put a huge amount of collards in the smoothie (two huge leaves) so no collards for awhile for me!
B: Just a few sips of said green smoothie
L: Leftover basil pesto pizza and some incredible raw chocolate cherry ice cream my daughter made.
S: Planning zucchini pasta with either pesto or marinara, whichever daughter wants. She has a new boyfriend (her first) and is walking around in raw heaven these days.

Snoops: Agree with StarFire's sentiments. I guess we're all different in what suits our transition, some might find cold turkey the best way for them with one slip their complete downfall, but I like the idea of incorporating raw in to life you have to - and want to! - lead as best you can.
Ahem..
-hot:rolleyes:chocolate at least it was soy; choc chip, almond cookie totally not raw.
-one serving zuchinni pasta with tomato sauce*
-some almonds

I'm going to go on eating raw for pretty much everything new I purchase from now on (excepting abberations like the above!) but I have some food leftover which is not raw and I will use that up. I might check myself out of this log for the time being if that gets too huge.

Btw, StarFire, what animal is that nibbling?

It's been a good couple of days. Yesterday I went out to eat for the first time and stayed raw so that was good. I got a salad and brought my own dressing. I was having some cravings and doubts about the diet by the end of the night but then I had a dream that told me very clearly to stay ion the diet. Today I made spicy nuts, raw bread, raw veggie burgers, raw cheese slices, and I'm marinating some eggplant for the eggplant bacon I saw in the recipes thread.

Today's menu:

Green Smoothie
Vegetable Juice
Mushroom Almond Burger and Almond Mediterranean bread with some Nacho Cheese, Avocado, tomato, and onion.
2 dates, some almonds, and some raisins
