hi

i'm always wondering what best : a JUICE fast or a WATER fast ?

if i look it up on the internet i always get different things. those people like juice fasting more and the other rave about the water fast .

i would like to have your opinions about that
and here are a couple of questions i have :

1.if you did a fast how long did you do it ?
2 . how much weight did you loose ?
3 . did you gained the weight back ?
4. how did you feel before the fast and how after the fast ?
5. what's in your opinion the best thing about fasting ?

please help me :)

1.it was different each time
2.I did never notice how much
3.don't know
4.all right vs amazingly great!!!
5. the inner happiness, which seems so endless when I'm on a water fast

P.S. drinking juice is lovely but it's not a fast to me. You could try both and find out what's the best for you :)

The reason you keep getting different answers is because it's subjective and there is no right or wrong. People have different opinions on the matter and ultimately it's a matter of personal preference, as well as what your body likes more.

I happen to love juice fasts and feel fabulous on them.

Also, it seems like you are focused on the weight loss aspect. This is not what fasting is about, in my opinion. It's not a diet to lose weight...you will lose weight during the fast but in my experience it's not something permanent. Rather I think of fasting as the jumping off point to healthier living, which will then hopefully promote weight loss. And for me, nothing makes me feel healthier than several days of just drinking juice.

Definitely juice. Water is a very difficult and sometimes dangerous fast. It has benefits too, but is better if you're very experienced fasting and/or have an illness that can't be healed otherwise. Also it's important to have either a health professional or someone with fasting knowledge involved. It can be done alone, but you need to know it's something you can definitely handle and have plenty of support around.

When I water fast I am cranky and very low energy- I feel like being in bed all the time(from first day evening). Maybe that's why I never went past day 4(on the fourth day I got sharp pains in my colon). That said, I didn't do enemas then.Maybe they would have made things better? Also, I don't look very good when I water fast - black under my eyes, etc.
I juice fasted longest 10 days in a row. My skin was glowing, I could workout, although lighter some days, and for the most part I feel pretty good.
Can't answer weight loss thing, because I don't weigh myself. It is not about pounds anyway. Do you know, that you can weigh 20 pounds more and wear the same size clothes, if a lot of your weight is lean muscle?
I believe fasts do work in releasing weight, if you do them often - let's say one day a week and then every few months longer one.
But more important is loving attitude toward yourself. Love yourself now. love your body now. it is not about your value anyway - just your preferences.

thank you for the responses

i think juice fasting is better for me
maybe i can water fast after a couple of months when i'm more healtier
and ready for it :)

i tried a water fast but i never get passed the 3rd day so a juice is better for me i think

and about the weight loss , don't have to loose that much so i just will see how my body responses on a juice fast . :)
