Hey everyone!
I just want to introduce myself. I'm 18 years old and have flirted with the idea of raw for about a year now. This summer I've been researching more about it, and starting this week I'm phasing it in! One of the books I like is the Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose. I figure I've been about a consistent level 3 (70% raw) for a couple years now, but now I'm stepping it up! I found my mom's old juicer last night and cleaned it, and now I'm ready to share this with you guys as I change what I put into my body.
Any thoughts, comments, suggestions? How was it for you guys when you first started? I'm not going to be too hard on myself with this, and allow myself to indulge in the beginning without putting guilt trips on myself.
Does anyone experience symptoms of detoxifying in the beginning? Is that normal? I've lost some weight since I started becoming more aware of what I eat- I went from a size 6-8 to a 4-6 (:)), but now I'm ready to dig in and get out all that old waste from the SAD (standard american diet) I've been exposed to over the years. School starts soon though, and I'd like some tips on whether the detox can make normal life challenging. What have you guys experienced?
