and theres food everywhere because my family still eats=)
How do you power through the hungries on a juice/smoothie feast? I am drinking a ton of stuff and even made some pretty hearty smoothies, but my tummy says FOOD...I do NOT want to give in, cuz I feel so dammed good:) Do you just embrace the hungries? They were even keeping me up last night:(

When I am attacked by those hungries, I will make a GIGANTIC, mixing-bowl-sized salad with everything under the sun and will crunch and munch on it until I am stuffed. I usually load my salads with things like: Spinach, Romaine, Carrots, Celery, Onions, Radishes, Sprouts, Cucumbers, Avocado, and anything else raw that I can toss into the mix. I will literally stuff myself on that until I am too full to even THINK about food any more. The nice thing is that I know that I am filling-up on all GOOD stuff and the "stuffed" feeling only lasts a little while and I still feel GREAT. That seems to be my only "cure" for the terrible hungries when they hit full-force.

I personally am embracing the rumbles and gurgles that well up from my stomach. It's been a long time since I've experienced them and it's certainly a good sign that they are back. I like this new Rawnnie, that has emerged from the rawk pile. The dietary change has helped me in so many ways, most happily with the restoring of, and/or taking a load off of my digestive function.
As for helping with the hunger signals, after embracing them with a hearty "welcome back borborygmi", I will usually grab a single carrot or other small portion of a veggie. I haven't juice fasted yet since the day of breaking my fast but suppose I would just grab more juice or a glass of water, or maybe immerse myself in reading or some other task as a distraction.
Small amounts of food (or juice in this case) more regularly should help as opposed to larger servings spread over a longer time span. I believe this has to do with the stretching of the stomach. I liken it to staying hydrated with a dromedary bag..... small amounts regularly will go farther toward hydrating you and keeping energy levels up, than gulping larger amounts down only when you are thirsty.
