Hi, I'm new to raw food. Been trying it on and off since January this yr. I'm 57 yo who owns and operates a conventional bakery & cafe in Northeastern PA, Scranton to be exact. I will be attending Alissa's class on August 28 and am planning to turn over my business and my personal health to raw and to help others do the same. I am pre-diabetic and borderline thyroid. None of which medication was ever prescribed. Thank heavans. Never paid much attention to either until 2 months ago when I wasn't feeling well and picked up a meter to test and shock upon shock it read 495. I knew that green juice fasting was important in bring down sugar so I went on a 7 day green juice fast. In 4 days my FBS was 75. In two weeks a lost 23 lbs. was not hungry no cravings felt a little tired but good. Needless to say it didn't last. Relasped and am now struggling to get back to 100% raw.
Looking forward to moving ahead. Positive outlook!!!

Good for you to go the class & adapt your bakery...hope it will prosperous for you.
I don't same I'm 100% eventhough I am most of the days. Can tell when I'm not.

Welcome! Guess what? I have wonderful news for you! "It" will no longer be a struggle. It will become your healthy lifestyle! How incredible you will be taking one of Alissa's classes! Alissa is truly an Angel that came into my life to set the pathway to heal me and then make me realize THIS is the way to live. Simply by eating! WOW!
And if you change your bakery to Raw? Whoa! Folks love sweets and to have a guilt-free, HEALING bakery? That would totally RAWk! What a goal to work toward. I wish you much success!
I can see it now...a chain of Raw bakeries across the U.S.!
Way to go! Keep us posted!

What a wonderful thing you are going to be doing for yourself and others.
It may take a while before you get it right. It has taken me many times but I am still a lot more healthy than I was before I started trying. You can do it, you have already seen the wonderful difference in your Blood Sugar..

I am new, too, and the thing that got me through the first week without major challenges was having an ABUNDANCE of food prepared in advance. If you have Alissa's book, Living on Live Food, spend some time with Chapter 11.
Lots of Love and encouragement to you! You can do it!

Do you have Alissa's book and DVD's. You can get them as a package deal on her website.....they will be an incredible resource for you. You can also contact her office and set a consultation. Good luck!
