Does anybody else get red in the face from eating raw? I look like I'm either sunburned or like I just exercised too much or like I've been drinking... The texture of my skin overall is good but I do not like looking like a beet! It's especially noticeable when I have more than 1 juice per day.
This happened to me a lot when I first went raw...and happening again now that I am upping the juice and upping the % of raw...
I can make it go away by eating some cooked veg. I'm curious if this happens to others, and if so, if it went away over time.

My guess is that you're probably detoxing. When your body doesn't have to use bodily produced enzymes to digest food, they go toward other functions such as ridding the body of toxins.
When Juicing you're getting a huge shot of enzymes and nutrients, thinning the blood, and making way for your body to start ridding itself of stored toxins it otherwise doesn't have the means to. By adding in cooked vegetables you're slowing the process, thus reversing the symptoms, seeing a reduction in redness. Another way to slow the process is by adding more fats into your diet, whether from cold pressed oils, Avocado, Olives, nuts or seeds. Fats provide a buffer from toxins and are fantastic for the skin, you'll likely see much the same improvement as you would by adding in the cooked vegetables.

I eat quite a lot of fat already--avos, flaxmeal, EVOO, coconut oil, almonds, sunflower seeds....
I thought it might have something to do with increased circulation--when I juice my feet get warm too. :)

I find I get quick hot-flashes after meals. Just a few seconds of intense sweating and then its gone. Very odd.

Could it be a sort of niacin flush? According to wikipedia..
Niacin is found in variety of foods including
Fruits and vegetables:
avocados
dates
tomatoes
leaf vegetables
broccoli
carrots
sweet potatoes
asparagus
Seeds:
nuts
whole grain products
legumes
saltbush seeds
Fungi:
mushrooms
brewer's yeast
How do you feel when you are flushed? Does it go away or is it more like an eczema thing?

I eat something on that list every day. I associate it most with green juice.
Sometimes I'm not aware of it, other times (like right now), it feels warm in an unpleasant way. People ask me if I've been in the sun--but it really is just visible in the face, not the whole body. It comes and goes.

Maybe try reducing the fat and see if that helps.
