We had a thread going but I can't find it and the search function can't either so I am starting a new one.
My local raw food store has raw food books available to sign out. I just got Living Raw Food by Sarma Melngailus. I started marking pages that I would type into my raw food folder. Well, it would take me forever there are so many awesome recipes so I am going to buy the book!!
Just wanted to pass along that information to all of you:)
Any other books you would recommend?
How about Living on Live Food by Alissa Cohen - the lovely host of this board!!!!!

Of course hers is awesome too. I have it and have made many of the recipes. Cookbooks are my thing. My husband would tell you I have far too many:rolleyes:
They sell her book at my raw food store. I should ask how much because once I paid for shipping and customs and dollar exchange, mine was almost $60.

I have a lot of cookbooks, too. I really like "raw food, real world" and cafe gratitude's book, "I am grateful". I'm glad you have Alissa's--I'm excited for her new cookbook to come out soon with all of the grezzo recipes.
I also like some e-books that you can order online and they send you the file so you can print out which you like and read it online--and not waste paper, or money as they are usually $10-$20. Here's a couple that I actually have-

Russell James is an excellent, creative chef and I've never made a bad anything from him.

Yeah, I got the Mediterranean Bread recipe from Russel James and I've made fantastic pizza and sandwiches from that. Before that I never had any luck making raw bread. I also like Ani Phyo's book, though I've just started using it, because it is way simpler than the other books I used to use but it still tastes gourmet. I also use Living Cuisine by Renee Underkoffler a lot, though I usually omit some ingredients in the more complicated recipes. I've had that book for years and it gotten the most use out of any of my recipe books.

Rawsome! by Brigitte Mars is a great one... Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine by Dr. Gabriel Cousens is also great

The Mucusless Diet Healing System by Arnold Ehret
and
Raw Food: Life Force Energy by Natalia Rose
and
Come Alive by Dr. Bernard Jensen (not really a 'raw food' book although he does use mostly raw foods and juicing, but he's an amazing healer!)
