I'm just curious as to how many here use both their blender as well as a juicer?
I have a Vitamix, which I love, but at times I wish I had a juicer so that I could get more veggies into a more compact drink. Due to a prior surgery (partial gastrectomy) , large volumes are tricky for me. So I was thinking of getting a juicer, but I'm torn, especially looking ay costs.
If you have a juicer, how often do you find yourself using it?
Thanks!

I have both a vitamix and a champion juicer, both of which work great. The Vitamix is on my counter and I use it every day...the juicer doesn't fit as I have limited counter space and it is very heavy to lug around so I do all my juicing in the VM and strain thru a nut mylk bag.......it works fine for me.
We use them both daily. We have a BlendTec and a Champion juicer. We do use the blender more however. I juice our wheatgrass in the blender, not the Champion and strain it through a nut milk bag. *Ü*
(We've had our Champion juicer for about 25 years).

I have my VM and I also have a Samson juicer. I go through stages. Right now, juicing is the stage. Just juiced a quart of red/green veggie juice this morning. I also have a top quality citrus juicer which is used every few days for making 4 quarts of oj and a quart of grapefruit juice. We don't lack for juice here.

I have a vitamix and an Omega juicer. I use both several times a day. If I had to pick one right now I am not sure I could. Probably the juicer at this point.

BVM (before Vitamix) I used my juicer, but not as much as I would have liked because it was a hassle to clean. I forgot the brand but think it cost a little more than $100. So it wasn't a real expensive one like Champion but it did the trick nicely.
Since I got my Vitamix a year ago, I've used my juicer maybe 3-4 times. If I were you, I think I'd do what GlimR says. At least try that, and if it doesn't work, then revisit getting a separate juicer.

I use the vitamix everyday, my wheatgrass juicer most days, and the regular juicer, not so much.
But you need to decide what's best based on your medical history. That kind of changes things.

I'm saving up for a high powered blender like BlendTec or VitaMix. In the meantime, I use my regular blender & food processor daily.
I did get a $60 juicer (Juiceman Jr) in 2006. I really don't use it often cause it takes longer to clean than my blender, but it has always worked just fine when I need it.
If I juiced more, I'd probably invest in a quality juicer, (someday I'll get there, hopefully!). But for my purposes, the cheaper juicer has served me well when needed. I'm definitely more of a blender girl tho.

I started off with a Vitamix and I already had a centrafuge type of juicer. I eventually decided to get a Green Star juicer. It is pretty expensive $229 or more. I wanted to get really high quality juice and I liked the versatiliy of the Green Star as you can use it to grind stuff up and make frozen desserts. I actually had a Green Power "cook book" (mostly raw) prior to puchasing the Green Star. I use my juicer several times a week. I use the vitamix daily.

I've got a combined blender, food processor and centrifugal juicer which I love dearly.
I use all of them. But at the moment I'm not juicing all that much, both for economical reasons and because I tend to like smoothies better in the summer.
