Has anyone used these noodles? They claim to be RAW but I am not so sure, I have never seen white/clear kelp. Any ideas???

They peel the kelp and underneath it is white/clearish. They don't heat over 100 degrees, hence they are raw, I guess.
Anyways, yes I had kelp noodles with basil pesto the other night. It was my first time trying them, and it was better than I expected. The kelp noodles that I got had no odour or flavour whatsoever, they took on the sauce flavours. For pasta, soak the noodles for an hour or so first. Next I'm going to try them in a vietnamese salad roll with Thai dipping sauce (so if anyone has a recipe please tell me!)
On the down side, I found the dish to be very filling, much like real pasta, and I'm starting to get used to not feeling that way after a meal. So this could be a plus or a minus depending on your point of view.

What Anita said is true how the "clear" noodle comes to be. I usually get three meals out of one package. I LOVE them!

May have been your sauce, Anita.
The kelp noodle alone are like 10 calories - like eating water....

I have to say the reason I started looking for these noodles is I had some at a raw food restaurant last week. I liked them so I started to hunt them down. They were fairly easy to find but I also came across this youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOkFyVYtGTw).
I figured I should ask what others thought. I had read the FAQ released by the company and well I wasn't all that sure if I believed them... All I have is there word that it's raw, and the weirdest thing is I have never tasted anything that came out of the ocean that had a neutral flavor. Sooo maybe the skeptic in me got a bit to carried away...
Thanks for the input.
