I'm wanting to see if you can post your favorite Ice Cream recipe for me. I would like to use my new ice cream maker. I need some recipes without nuts, but I seem to be able to tolerate Almond milk right now, so using the nut milk should be fine. I made the peach one and it was delish!!
I'm looking for something chocolate flavor.
Thanks so much, for right now foods that are creamy seem to be agreeing with my gastroparesis. And when I eat raw ice cream I feel like I'm cheating on a diet or something :p

Isn't raw ice cream the BEST? I mean, on what other "diet" can you eat ice cream and not be "blowing one's diet" and having the resultant weight gain and guilt? Plus all that dairy and sugar and other undesirables? Anyhow, the other night, I made a full batch of my insane chocolate orange apricot ice-cream, after trying a test small amount a few days earlier. Let me tell you, it went over huge with DH - he couldn't stop eating it - LOL! It's too good. If you look on this section, you'll find my post called "insane raw chocolate-orange-apricot ice cream" - hope this helps!

I make chocolate-banana ice cream by putting some bananas in the food processor and processing until smooth and creamy. Then I add raw cacao powder and either agave or honey. Then I pop it into the freezer for bit. It is fabuloso.
If I had a VitaMix, I would freeze the bananas first. (In fact, I would always keep a bunch of bananas in the freezer for emergencies.) However, as good as my processor is, it's not quite that good.

Raw Chocolate/Chocolate Chip Ice Dream
2.5 cups of filtered water
3 handfuls of cashews - maybe 1.5 - 2 cups?
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2 tablespoons Alissa's coconut powder
10-12 medjool dates
1/2 - 3/4 cup of cacao nibs
Squirt of agave nectar
Put everything EXCEPT the cacao nibs into a high-speed blender (like a Vitamix-Mix) and blend until creamy. It will be thick.
Put into ice cream machine, adding the cacao nibs and use the ice cream maker as directed.
At first it's like a soft-serve ice cream, but this freezes well. It is YUM-OH!!!

Thanks everyone for the other yummy ideas. I have done the banana ones and they are great too, but I just got me an ice cream maker, so I was wanting to put it to use.

This has been a favorite.
1/2 cup cashews
3 cups of water
1 Tbl. Cacao Powder
a sprinkle of goji berries
Dash of fresh vanilla
3-4 Frozen Bananas
Blend the nuts, water and goji's first, Then add rest.
If you manage to have any left, put the rest in the freezer for a couple of hours and you will have Chocolate Banana Ice Cream : )
You can also do some sorbets. Ice with fresh mango and maybe some dates if you want more sweetness.
