My doctor thinks I have it...so I was just looking for info on it related to being raw vegan. Anyone have positive experiences, or links to success stories or anything?

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 18, some 20 years ago. It can be such a painful and exhausting disease. :( One of my many reasons for being interested in raw food was for that reason. I wish I had a link or a place to share with you. I have been searching for something similar. :)

I was shocked to hear my Doctor tell me to continue eating my regular diet...a vegan one. He said that it was a very good thing to stay off of any dairy products, (as well as meat) due to the levels of estrogen in animal products, especially dairy. Endometriosis can flair up with excessive estrogen. He also recommended that I stop using any plastics and to definitely not use them in the microwave, I don't use the nuko'lator anyway :D

Unfortunately I still suffer with endo along with cysts from time to time. But I have decided to go back 100% raw to see if I get positive results in that regards.

Have you had surgery to actually determine if you have it?

I wish you the best and hope hope hope that you do not have it. xoxo. Many blessings to you and good luck in finding some good information. If you find any....please feel free to pass it along. ;)

The Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine recommends a low-fat diet for endometriosis.

A low-fat, no dairy, no meat diet is often the top recommendation made by medical institutions as well as us "health nuts" for healing/easing the suffering associated with endometriosis.

I, too, have this ailment. Be prepared - when I go on high raw, the detox can cause an excruciating monthly cycle... this month, I ended up in the ER during my period because the detox was vicious during that time. Be prepared... but do not anticipate that happening to you.

My hope is to eventually heal myself of endo through RAW and other natural healing methods. :) I believe it will be so.

This most recent past cycle, after almost a month all raw, was the worst by Far, so I believe you gw.

I am learning about this low-fat vegan recommendations from elsewhere as well. I'm all raw, but not low-fat...but I'm working on that. I'm also trying to actively lose weight/fat as it's metabolically active as well.

Something interesting I have discovered is that Pesticides are also estrogenic. Pesticides. So there is a decent case for organic as well. That might have been my issue this past month...as I didn't any organic and was eating Loads of f & v.

So glad i found this post, i had just posted my story in the 'other health' section. i find it quite worrying and shocking that there isnt much evidence or info on anyone being cured of endometriosis but of other major diseases, iv not officially been diagnosed, i have to go see a gynocologist then to have surgery, which i really do not want. i think surgery is barabaric and id rather heal naturally than be cut open and have things sliced off. But i know i must have it done to be diagnosed.

I believe raw cures illness. I beleive doctors majorly promote illness.

Not an associate of any of these companies. But you will find plenty of compelling testimonies. I did not have endo, but have found significant womanly health improvement with progesterone (bioidentical).

I had it and had the op 7 years ago...

It hasn't returned since, thankfully :) but the first think I did, I stopped eating meat, I go to my gyno very often, and I am all healthy and fertile- I am so happy about it!

The only studies done showed relation to stress and the fact that it returned less often in women who didn't eat meat...

I am intending to go vegan in a few days...I do have periods of high raw or 100% raw more often then not, but during my travels, I usually go back to cooked vegetarian...

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!!

I just wrote a long-winded discertation (LOL) on that other endo thread! Pls go there and read it!

I have heard of women beat endo through diet and progesterone combo ---and they weren't even raw. Imagine going raw!

I hope this is inspiration to you.

Again, pls read my other post, but in the meantime, eat those broccoli sprouts!

HTH,

Mary Kay

I don't have endo but have had a history of large clotting..keeping a record, I noticed it was worse when I consumed a lot of dairy. Lessened when I became a veggie. Since raw a few months, the clotting is much smaller & much less. I feel it's an improvement.
