I threw together a salad today for lunch and had some carrots and celery which I used as a salad topper along with a good amount of freshly picked herbs. You can find a picture and the recipe on my blog here (http://duaneepperly.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!486E62B391467F29!665.entry).

Does anyone have any favorite salad toppings they create? I think the only thing that could have made this salad better would have been avocado but I didn't have one :(.

Thanks,

DuaneE

Bell pepper alone or with onion makes a very tasty salad. Also excellent: cabbage, tomatoes, green beans, raisins, apples.

I agree with the Avocado, it Always makes Everything taste Better.

I like a grated beet, sunflower and hemp seeds, and sprouts on top of a salad. It's been a while since I've had sunchokes, but they were a favorite too. Grated sweet potato, wasabi peas are other fav's.

dulse flakes are flavorful, and adds minerals.
