My fav juice to fast with is a combination of putting apples and celery through a juicer and diluting it with H2O. I plan on returning to this recipe for my next cleanse.
During my previous fasts, I used Red Delicious apples, which are more than likely higher in sugar because they are sweeter, but has anyone ever heard of one apple being better with cleansing than another? There are at least a dozen of varieties that I can get a hold of.

With Apples being great for anti-oxidants and celery helps lower weight, this great tasting recipe is a hit with me!

Apple + Celery Fasting Juice.
________________________

In a juicer squeeze two whole apples
1 celery stalk
Add 1 cup of fresh water
1/2 cup of ice.

Shake well. (Shake before drinking each time) I prefer to make this recipe twice a day to have the most freshest juice. I do not like storing it in the fridge although its fine. Glass is best to prevent strange tasting juice.

Most juice fasters prefer green apples because they're lower in sugar. Usually a much higher quantity of produce is required to get the full benefits of juice fasting.

Usually for a fast, people consime 32-64 oz. But it really depends on your goals. Cucumber is a great way to get more juice. Here's a couple recipe examples.

8 Celery stalks
12 Apples

5 Celery stalks
1 Beet
6-8 Carrots
3 Apples

Head of Romaine or Celery
5-6 stalks Kale
2 Fuji Apples
1 Lemon (w/peel)

I have been using Spartan's which are great bu they are out of season now so I started using red delicious. Not as good. I will try granny smith as suggested here to see how they are.
