For now, my Magic Bullet works perfectly fine for me. I know, I know everyone swears that nothing comes close to the Vitamix. The only thing I dont like about the MB is that fruits with tiny seeds - strawberries for instance are still seeds. Does the Vitamix make tiny seeds, like strawberry seeds into liquid? I doubt it does, but will push me towards getting it if it does. Thanks everyone!

The Vita-Mix will liquefy seeds (like blackberries), *if* you put it on it's highest speed. However, the highest speed starts to warm the smoothie - so you have to find that "just right" spot where you liquefy the seeds, but don't run the high speed too long that it warms up your smoothies too much.
My experience anyway.

Hey there,
I have a vitamix and upgraded from a kitchen aid blender. Anyways, with that being said I just made a green smoothie yesterday with banana, blackberries and spinach-yummy and I could still taste some seeds, but not near as much as when I used a blender. I am sure I have to work with it more. I remember a time with a blender I actually threw it out because I could not deal with the seeds of the blackberries.

Hi there... it absolutely takes care of the seeds... I put flax, chia, etc not to mention all the berries in my smoothies... it's the powerful motor that does it... and while it's true it can warm things up, it actually takes 3 minutes + for the smoothies to start approaching warm.... and it's actually a wonderful way to make all the raw soups because you actually can get it to warm without boiling (although it will actually bring things to a boil if you go long enough... lol) and of course for summer, you can add ice for super cooling summer smoothies.... ahhh, but now I'm off track....
so yes... it takes care of the seeds plus much more & it does come with a 30 day money back guarantee, so if you try and don't like you can definitely return.... AND they truly honor their 7 year warranty without question (I've utlized when it didn't seem to be working the way it always had...)
can you tell I LOVE my vitamix??? lol

I concur that it takes care of seeds completely--even watermelon seeds=)
If your smoothies are getting warm, use some frozen bananas or ice in them.
It does take more than a couple of minutes to warm anything--I have tried=) And with a smoothie--if you overmix it enough to warm it up it will be terribly frothy anyway.
You should definatly get a vitamix. Did I mention making ice cream that is exactly like ice cream? Your own nut butter? Smooth creamy sauces?
Worth every penny=)!
You just gotta LOVE Vitamix. I love mine. I can blend up fruits with small seeds in smoothies and use them in other recipes whereas before,
I just couldn't do it due to the seeds annoying me. :D

Does the Vitamix make tiny seeds, like strawberry seeds into liquid?
Yes to both. For the rasberry, it is stilll grainy.
One trick, perhaps it cans work with your blender, is that blend your strawberry first. Make sure your container isn't too full so your blender cans work its magic for you. If you still have problem, you can consider to use a nut bag. I would save every week for a good blender. I have vitamix and i love it, some prefer the blend tech, but i prefer an analogue blender versus the digital one.
Best lock!

Is the Vitamix container plastic? If so, does it get cloudy? My BlendTec container has gotten quite cloudy in only 6 months time. Thanks for any info you can give.

I take my Magic Bullet on cruises with me. I snatch fruits and veggies from their buffet and whisk up a batch of smoothies. (I also pack some flax seeds, maca, hemp protein, etc. to toss in). Pour it into a "take along" jug, and take it with me to shore excursions. Very simple!!:)

Love my Magic Bullet! When it burnt up (after about 5 years) I went to Macy's and bought another the next day. I use it for salad dressings and use the flat blade for grinding flax seeds, sunflower seeds, cacao nibs, sea salt, etc.
Love my Vita-Mix! It pulverizes most seeds, but not blackberry, at least not completely. I have the 5200 with the latest in plastic containers, and yes, it did get cloudy and has some streaks that won't come out. No big deal.
