Hi,

I'm thinking of getting an air purifier.. has anyone here got one, or any experience with them?

Are they safe? I've read an article saying ozone that is emmited from air purifiers can actually do more harm than good, although the one I'm interested in does not emit ozone.

If anyone can help that would be great. The thought of having non-stagnated, dust free, clean air is very appealing. I just want to know that they are completely safe, if it is an non-ozone emming air purifier.

I've used air purifiers all my life because of severe dust allergies. The ones I use are just fans that circulate air through activated charcoal and paper filters. They work fine, so long as you change the filters every 90 days or so. They also have the advantage of generating white noise, which makes it easier for me to sleep.

thx for your reply seedy. i have just gone and ordered AirFree P80. this does not emit ozone and doesn't require filters to be continually changed as the purifier kills that bad stuff, without leaving any residue, rather then trapping it like a filter would. how this quite works i don't know. if anyone has any experience with air purifiers of any kind still please reply!!
