Hi All,

I have decided to buy a Vitamix. I have a Kitchen AId, but it is too loud too long to blend and then still does not quite get the job done.

I could wait until the end of the month to get one at a state fair exhibit, but I not sure what the advangtages of waiting for that would be over just buying one from Vitamix right now.

THanks for any input

I ordered mine from Vitamix. I used the code revvel had and talked to a very nice lady last name Harpster. No shipping cost and reduced payment for some add ons. I also chose the 3 payment plan. She was very helpful and I love being able to spread my payments out.

From what I understand, you will get a better deal if you buy it at a Vita Mix show (a few extra freebies and coupons thrown in). I think they also offer the 3-payment plan. That's why I'm going to our County Fair this week!!:D

I've only dealt with a lady named Barb -- her number is (800) 848-2649,
x.2310. You can use coupon code 06-003381 on any Vita-Mix direct from the company to receive free shipping (saves $25). They WILL do 3 payments on any model directly from the company.

Alissa sells the 4500 model on her site, which is also a good option. My first VM came from her! (I sold it when I moved overseas, for about the same as I bought it for, on amazon.com...) I have the 5200 now, which I definitely prefer because of the variable speeds.

I haven't seen the VM at any shows, so I've just ordered it online.

I bought my 5200 at a Costco demo for a good price and it came with their recipe book.
