Good day to all!!! Though it is my first time posting, I have been a 'voyeur' since early this year and have been getting a lot of good raw information. I have to thank all for giving me 'silent' support what with all your creative inputs and outputs. I have 'made' lots of friends here, even though it is one-sided. I am very blessed and my gratitude runs deep!!
And so here goes my story. Have been toying with raw since last September and now am very high and committed raw (can't say 100% for you never know certain bought products are truly un-heated eg. cashews? plus you can never be 100% certain in life about things, there is always debate)!! So I am as all high and all raw as I could possibly get with full conscious awareness and effort.
Now what, or shall I say who, made me truly raw is something you would expect to hear out of an extraordinary fairytale! Oh you can purchase copyrights from me should you want to make a movie/drama out of it :p
The story goes, since I hail from an island where cooked and fast foods have conquered my land, I strongly needed support and encouragement to keep my sanity! Apart from this lovely website, I also chanced upon a raw singles column and decided to hey lets put up my bio! Now the idea of knowing someone as a partner via this singles personal ad is very far-fetched for it is an American based and that I am in Asia! Anyhow I decided to proceed for I wanted to make more encouraging raw friends and trade recipes etc. Little did I expect an angel would come along and write to me.
We started off by emailing, then proceeded to phone calls and GUESS WHAT!!!? I just got back from visiting him in California!!! YESSSS!! We hit it off instantly! During my stay there, my angel brought me around and we 'binged' on raw food visiting many different raw restaurants, meeting and making lots of raw friends and invited to homes etc! So my loving angel is the reason, strong main reason, that I go all raw!! And GUESS WHAT!!!?? Come December he will visit Singapore see my family, friends and the island abundant with durians, mangoes, rambutans, litchess, longans, mangosteen, jackfruits, coconuts and most exotic fruits before he whisks me off to join him in his LA-LA land!!! Would I trade all these for that??? BIG YESSSSS!!
I hope all things work out well for us both! It will be 5 LONG MONTHS before I get to be re-united with him and many things can happen between now and then! I will take whatever comes my way but I will also need to put in effort to want to make things work!! So I will keep my fingers and toes crossed!
*pant pant* so there you go! Who knows if things go as planned I might even meet some of you lovelies in person (which I can only imagine up to now!!) ;)
Thank you all for 'listening'! You have all been a big part of me being raw too! And oh Alissa if you are reading, thank you for this great lovely website and your book is good (yup I have a copy of that with your DVD too) not to mention the taste of your recipes mmmmmmm :D
Looking forward to 'greeting' and getting to know all of you better!
with love and light, truly raws ~ aisah

Hi Aisah!

I had dinner with David last night at Au Lac -- actually, he was arriving the same time Dawn and another friend and I were and we shared a table, of course. Talked about you and how much we all missed you now that you're back in Singapore.

How fun that you're on here now, too!!

Welcome, beautiful living foods woman.

p.s. Ya already met this "lovely" in person, silly!

Well, I had Salad Song w/o dressing, Dawn had only coconut water and also an avocado (she's totally into simple, mono-eating now -- which I'm doing mostly but still having mixed salad and an occasional soft taco), and we're totally off the desserts. Taking living foods to the next level. Yep, your guy was studying for a test, so little conversation ... just a lot of chewing :D .
