Both my daughter and I do not feel well at all today, headachey and I have had diarrhea.....the usual detox symptoms. The only thing we have been doing differently is ODing on Thick's Cheesy Cucumber Rice dish. Normally I am not a huge fan of cucumbers so only eat a few slices in a salad. But with this dish, I am eating like 2-3 cucumbers, at least, a day for the last three days. Everything else we have eaten is regular food for us so we were just wondering if the cucumbers are the culprit.
I am feeling better but poor daughter is dizzy and headachey.

I hadn't known it before but I found some information on cucumbers being a cleansing food.
http://www.whole-body-detox-diet.com/detox-foods.html
Each food has unique properties and specific effects on your body. Some foods (like beans, nuts and animal products) are considered “building foods” while others (like greens and cucumbers) are considered “cleansing foods.”
I'm sorry you guys aren't feeling good (but quite delighted you are enjoying the cucumber rice dishes as much as me!!)

By the way, I have also not ever been a big cucumber eater--until this week! I have eaten seriously 9 long english cucumbers haha.
But, I am not experiencing any unusual cleansing/detox symptoms. Hmmm.

I've been eating 1-2-3 cucumbers a day for the past week or so. They were like 39 or 49 cents a pound for lovely smallish, garden looking cukes - so I really stocked up. Totally loved, and I haven't been into cucumber for a while - years wise.
I've been a bit dizzy and headachy too this past week! Never thought it was the cucumbers, now - maybe it was! wow.

No, I know it is not Da bomb Cheeze sauce. I have eaten it a lot with no ill effect. Just had what was left yesterday with some carrot sticks and it did not worsen my symptoms. Had no cucumbers yesterday and I was better by last night, so I think it has to be that.

Of course, there is the possibility that you had some kind of stomach virus unrelated to the cucumbers, too. I hope you feel better..and am sorry for any role I had in your diarrhea. now--theres a sentence i've never used before!!=)>

that's great. I live in the south & people who grow their own cukes charge $1.00 per pd! My garden flopped this yr..nothing.
cukes: I notice that when I eat a lot, I get a little tummy discomfort & I go to the bathroom a lot more so I guess they do detox. They are great for your skin too, especially if you get too much sun. Why do people put them over their eyes...so they have something to eat while they're waiting!!
