Does this system log people out if they are idle too long? Just wondering.

Depends on how you're logged in. I'm on Firefox so, tab is always open. I never get timed out. Folk must think I'm just sitting here, 24/7. ;)

I'm on Firefox as well and if I am idle for very long I get automatically logged off of RFT.

Do you have to log in every time as well? There IS a way to log in where, when you come back, you don't have to. Can't 'member how that is though. I just know, I don't have to log in every time I come here.

If I go idle for even 5 minutes, I get logged off. (On Firefox.)

Yes, I have to re-log in every time.

I think letting Firefox remember your password will make the difference. Maybe.
I think I'll try it next time I log in.

Try this. Next time you're logged out, just go to the forum and respond to a thread. You'll be asked to log in. Do it. I think that's how I just stay logged in. Not sure though.

i use IE and i get logged out when idle for over 5 or 10 mins, but i rarely use the "remember me" so i don't know if it idles me out or not.

but if i am posting i get logged out if it takes over 5 mins or something *unless i have remember me clicked*. sometimes i leave the computer for a minute while writing but just a min or two then write more and when i click to post i have to back space to copy and save info and re-sign back in otherwise it won't post it.

i see you on here almost every time i visit here and a few times was curious what you were doing because not too many threads or new comments come in a lot... it shows you're always searching forums. ;) and since then i have wondered what is this woman always searching for???

The only time I get logged off is when I delete the history of sites visited. Otherwise, I'm always on.

I'm on Firefox and always logged in.

It just happened again just now when I tried to post a reply and it happens when I blog. I'll just have to read faster and type fewer words. :o

Did you try what I suggested?

I don't have foxfire, but I do have tabs saved with one for rawfoodtalk on internet explorer. I'll just stay signed-in. That does work--even if I'm idle I don't get timed-out when I'm blogging. And thanks Revvell for the green book title.

You don't have to have Firefox. What I suggested worked for me on IE and Safari.

You're welcome.
