Hello,

When I make my green smoothies I kinda of put whatever in them. I also know to make it a green smoothie you put fruit with it. Anyways, I just finished a green drink I guess you would call it and thought about blogging (sp?) this. It was clinatro, basil and broc-it was kinda of wild tasting and really do not think I will make a repeat of it. I just wanted to use some extra things up that I had.

I have this great smoothie I love with beet greens, berries, grapes and banana.

I also love Victoria boutenkos parsley and pear....

So one day I tried the parsley with the berries.....

NOT a success! Felt that I had just ruined a bunch of food.

Drank it anyway - but did not enjoy:(

One time a threw in a bunch of turnip greens, half a red pepper, and a tomato. I don't know what I was thinking, I don't like any of those foods. Ya I threw it out it was disgusting =]

Quince. dont do it. i was trying to use these "big clumsy pears" that i found on the ground in our school garden in rome. i had to chuck the whole thing. astringent and card-boardy is the best way i can describe the smoothy. it got flushed.

I made one today!

I got brave and threw in some dandelion greens which i never do because

dandelion juice is just so bitter i thought the smoothie would be bitter too, but

it wasn't!!

It was :

Aloe, spinach, dandelion greens, banana, and nectarines.

It was very tasty. :)

I like 2 bananas, a ripe pear, kale, and dandelion. I have to be careful to not put too many greens in because then it's disgusting! I've used cilantro and while I could taste it I didn't think it was too bad, but then again I love cilantro. I've tried other combinations of fruit but I like this one the best so far. I'd like to try oranges though, because with no peel it might be good. For greens it doesn't matter to me what I use; I just use those above instead of say, spinach because I use spinach in my salads.

Frozen bananas, white peaches, fresh almond milk, handfull of greens, honey or other sweetener.
One of my favorites so far.

I used to choke down bitter stuff like dandilion and plantain in the smoothies (picked fresh) but since adding a few drops of stevia it sweetens right up and I don't need dates/agave anymore.
